Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift tied the knot over the summer in grand fashion at Madison Square Garden.

The most-anticipated wedding of the year not only took place at the famous venue many didn’t think would be Swift’s first choice. But there are a few other things that have come to light after the couple’s big day on July 3 that surprised a lot of people.

Fans were taking bets on who Swift would have as bridesmaids on her special day. It was thought that some of the pop star’s closest celebrity pals, Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid, would be chosen. Many even picked Swift’s childhood bestie, Abigail Anderson Berard. But that was not the case. Instead, Swift’s skipped a traditional bridal party. She had just her younger brother, Austin, stand by her side and serve as her Man of Honor.

Wedding planner and Elysium Events founder Lucy Sinclair told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “I think [Swift’s] decision to have her brother, Austin, as her man-of-honor with no bridesmaids was a very cool move. When you have a big group of girlfriends, it can be really chaotic in the morning. That doesn’t mean she didn’t get ready with her closest friends, or they weren’t by her side on the day—it just means she’s made the roles fit what she needs.”

In the days after the wedding, fans also learned that over 1,000 names were on the guest list, which read like a who’s who in Hollywood. Some of the megastars who attended the affair included Tom Cruise, Steven Spielberg, Jennifer Lopez, Paul McCartney, Brad Pitt, Jason Sudeikis, Ethan Hawke, Dakota Johnson, Bradley Cooper, and Reese Witherspoon. Adam Sandler officiated the ceremony.

We also know that the wedding decor featured a fairy-tale forest and Midsummer Night’s Dream theme. It had a 35-foot-tall faux greenhouse and a castle structure, colosseum-like walls, fake trees, artificial five-story trees, and fabrics printed with forest graphics.

As for what Swifties everywhere really wanted to know, the star’s publicist, Tree Paine, revealed who designed her wedding dress, sharing, “The bride and groom’s wedding ceremony looks have been created by Christian Dior Haute Couture. They are designed by Jonathan Anderson, Creative Director of Dior Women’s, Men’s, and Haute Couture Collections, in close collaboration with the bride and groom. This is the designer’s first couture wedding dress for a world-renowned celebrity. Their shoes were custom-made by Christian Louboutin, and the bride wore Cartier jewelry.” But now it’s been revealed that the “Love Story” singer didn’t keep those Louboutin heels on her feet.

A source told Page Six, “Taylor changed dresses between the ceremony and reception. She wore sneakers during part of the reception and wore her hair down.”

That little tidbit proves that Swift is just like the rest of us. Many of her female fan can relate to ditching or at least thinking about ditching their heels and taking out their updos during a wedding.
