Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have spared no expense for their Madison Square Garden wedding this weekend. The event is estimated to have cost millions, but their big splurge didn’t stop there. Ahead of the ceremony, held on July 3, Travis and Taylor donated $26 million across 20 different charities. These are the causes that have benefited the most.

In the days leading up to their highly anticipated wedding at Madison Square Garden, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce made headlines not for the ceremony itself, but for their generosity. Their massive charitable donation was announced by a representative in the lead-up to the wedding. Though their planned ceremony was not mentioned, the timing leaves no room for second-guessing. It appears they opted to donate to charity as part of their celebration.

The news came as rumors began to swirl that the couple also opted to avoid wedding gifts entirely, requesting instead that their guests donate to charity. Both Travis and Taylor have been involved in philanthropic efforts since their independent rise to fame. It looks like they plan to continue those efforts as a married couple now, too.

Where the Money Went

The 20 recipient organizations span several categories: nine food banks, seven educational programs, three children’s hospitals, and one animal welfare organization all received massive donations from the duo. Many of the charities are located in cities with personal significance to the couple. Nine of the charities listed are based in New York, where the wedding took place. The Rhode Island Community Food Bank, near Swift’s Watch Hill estate, also received a donation. The couple were initially slated to wed in Swift’s beloved vacation spot. Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, home to Kelce’s NFL team, the Chiefs, also benefited.

Travis and Taylor also donated to national causes. Feeding America, the ASPCA, and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, a literacy nonprofit that provides free books to children, all received donations.

While the couple didn’t reveal how much they gave to each cause, a few charities came forward and shared specifics as a thank you to the newlyweds. City Harvest confirmed it received $1 million, with CEO Jilly Stephens calling the gift “a love letter to New York.” The nonprofit supports food banks. The Rhode Island Community Food Bank also confirmed a $1 million donation, with CEO Melissa Cherney saying the “extraordinarily generous and unexpected gift” would help the organization meet the community’s unfortunately growing need for access to free food. Dolly Parton personally thanked the duo for a $2 million donation to her Imagination Library.

The duo are busy partying with A-listers right now, but the charities they donated to are busy putting the new funds to good use.
