Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are reportedly gearing up for a wedding at Madison Square Garden. While the couple has not confirmed anything, sources claim they rented the venue for their close to 1,000 guests. According to a wedding planner, this celebration could cost millions.

Taylor Swift reportedly is shelling out millions for her wedding

Swift and Kelce want to have their wedding at Madison Square Garden because it is an important venue to both of them. It reportedly costs at least $1 million to rent the venue, and sources claim that the couple has booked it for three days.

“I would expect the cost of renting Madison Square Garden for a Saturday-night wedding to be approximately $1 million to $2.5 million before you even begin building the wedding itself,” luxury wedding planner Sonal Shah told The New York Post. “But for a celebrity wedding of this scale, the venue fee would likely be just a fraction of the overall budget.”

Shah noted that there are countless other costs associated with having a large wedding at the massive venue.

“A weekend night at one of the most iconic venues in the world is not just about renting the space — you’re also paying for exclusivity, staffing, security, operations, and the opportunity cost of a concert or sporting event that could otherwise be taking place.”

She estimated that the wedding will come with an eye-watering price tag.

“Once you add production, security, catering, entertainment and décor, a Madison Square Garden wedding could very realistically become a $10 million to $20 million-plus event,” she said.

If the wedding costs $20 million, it will make Swift’s one of the most expensive celebrity weddings of all time.
