Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are reportedly preparing to tie the knot at Madison Square Garden this summer. While the couple hasn’t confirmed anything — and a number of potential wedding venues have cropped up since their engagement — a number of sources report that they will get married at the massive landmark. A police source said that this would be a chaotic event for security.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are rumored to be tying the knot at Madison Square Garden

Swift and Kelce are reportedly planning a wedding for July 3, 2026. They are working hard to keep details under wraps, likely because they don’t want fans and the media swarming their wedding venue.

“Everyone’s been sworn to secrecy,” one source told Page Six.

Despite this, sources have claimed that the couple plans to host their wedding at Madison Square Garden. It has multiple entrances and is very secure. While it isn’t the most traditional wedding venue, the source noted that Swift and Kelce have enough money to make anything possible.

“If you have billions, you can transform the space into a wedding venue,” the source said.

The venue also has no events planned between June 29 and July 6. Swift has performed there multiple times over the course of her career.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding would be chaotic

This summer, New York City will host a July 4 celebration, the Sail 250 military parade, the NBA Finals, and the FIFA World Cup. And, as police commissioner Jessica Tisch said, “potentially a Taylor Swift wedding.” She quickly added: “I’m kidding.”

A source told TMZ that if Swift hosts her wedding in Midtown, Manhattan, it will require a major security presence.

Her friends say this doesn’t seem like something Swift would plan for her wedding

While a number of outlets have reported that Swift will have her wedding at Madison Square Garden, other sources claim that this doesn’t sound likely.

“This doesn’t sound like Taylor,” one source reportedly said, per Reality Tea. “It sounds like something the Kardashians would do.”

While Swift frequently weaves her personal life into her music, those who know her are not sure that she would pick a massive concert venue for her wedding.

“Taylor has always used her personal life in her work,” another source said. “But that’s very different from getting married at one of the most famous venues in the world.”

Another source added that this felt like another stop on a tour, not a romantic celebration.

“A wedding at Madison Square Garden feels like a production,” a source said. “Not a wedding.”

At this point, none of the information about Swift’s wedding is certain.
