‘Temptation Island’ Season 2 Filming Secrets, Revealed
Temptation Island is back, and so is the drama.
All nine episodes of season 2 of the steamy reality series dropped April 10 on Netflix. The show takes four couples who are on the brink and throws them into a seriously tempting situation. The pairs temporarily separate, and each partner shacks up with a group of eligible singles. Think of it as a relationship trial by fire. Will they stay true to the person with whom they came to paradise? Or will they give in to temptation? [Spoiler: In season 2, only one of the four couples made it out of this wild experiment with their romance intact.]
‘Temptation Island’ Season 2 filmed in Hawaii
Temptation Island Season 2 – which is Netflix’s extension of the USA Network series of the same name – films in Hawai’i, specifically two luxury villas in Kailua-Kona. Both properties are available to rent for roughly $4,000 per night, according to Parade.
Fans of the show might also be surprised to learn that the show doesn’t waste any time. Season 1 filmed in less than three weeks.
“It was 17 days of production, about three and a half weeks of calendar time because there were off days in there for crew and for cast to decompress,” executive producer David Friedman told Variety of the show’s first season. Season 2, which filmed in August 2025, likely had a similar schedule.
Netflix reality series is ‘not scripted,’ cast member says
Once the cameras are on, things get “intense”, cast member Kai Stone told The Reality Shrine. Participants are “basically on all the time and there’s no real off switch.”
“You kind of lose your sense of time a bit,” he said.
So, is all the drama that plays out on screen real? Yes, Kai said, but with a caveat.
“It’s not scripted like people think—no one’s telling you what to say—but it’s definitely engineered,” he said. “The producers know what they’re doing. You’re put in situations that are going to bring stuff out of you—good, bad, whatever’s already there.”
“And when you’re in that environment, emotions are heightened, so things can escalate fast. But what you say and how you react—that’s on you,” he added.
Temptation Island Season 2 is streaming on Netflix.
