Plenty of celebrities showed up for Game 4 of the NBA Finals between the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs on June 10. Among them were Timothée Chalamet and his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner.

They, like other stars packed in Madison Square Garden, and got a chance to let loose and celebrate when the Knicks came back from a 29-point deficit to get the win and a commanding 3-1 lead in the series.

Now, a body language expert is breaking down Chamalet’s actions before and after the victory.

Inbaal Honigman is a celebrity astrologer and body language expert. She has appeared in the media for more than 20 years, and she has offered her expertise and perspectives on current events and pop culture figures for several outlets, including Big Brother’s Little Brother, Elle Magazine, and talkSPORT radio, to name a few.

Speaking on behalf of Casino.ca, Honigman explained how Chalamet kept his lady close before the game got underway, telling Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “In every photo and bit of footage from the game, Timothee walks ahead, while Kylie is a little bit behind him. In some scenes, she’s a lot behind him. There is a protective, masculine side to that. He’s her human shield.

“When Timothee strides ahead, holding Kylie’s hand while keeping her behind him, he shows her that he’s ready to tackle any issues or disturbances. He says that whoever wants to get to her has to go through him first. This habit of stepping ahead lets Kylie know that Timothee will take a grenade for her.”

The expert continued, “This protective gesture speaks to the way that Chalamet views himself, as Kylie’s knight in shining armour. Even though Jenner has been a celebrity for far longer and is much wealthier than Timothee, she lets him walk ahead. She is an alpha female without a doubt, but takes pleasure in stepping back for Chalamet. Her satisfied smile indicates that this is not a condescending move towards Kylie, but a romantic, comforting move.”

Honigman also shared details about what she saw in Chalamet’s demeanor immediately after the victory and during his jubilant celebration following the win, as well as how he walked away from Jenner and right into the crowd. That choice seemed to even surprise the reality star for a second before she decided to take out her phone and film his excitement.

“At the moment of victory, Chalamet is fully there for the Knicks … He feels joyful and excited, proud, and thrilled,” Honigman noted. “He is not turning towards Kylie even a little bit. He may not even remember that she is there. His entire focus is on the win and his team.

“Timothee is seen bouncing up and down with other fans, while Kylie takes a step back and is filming him on her phone. She understands that she is to take a back seat in this situation, and she doesn’t mind. Kylie is seen smiling broadly as she gazes at her man, to show that she’s happy to be there with Timothee, even if he’s celebrating with other men and not with her.”

Showbiz Cheat Sheet acknowledges that conditions and cultures can impact body language and is sensitive to all backgrounds.
