This ‘Traitors’ Contestant Shouldn’t Be Underestimated, Said Body Language Expert

On this season of The Traitors, the contestants aren’t celebrities or reality television stars. Instead, the show is welcoming a cast of unknowns to compete for the cash prize. Because of this, viewers and contestants alike aren’t familiar with the various personalities on the show. A body language expert said that people might underestimate one contestant. 

A body language expert said people shouldn’t underestimate this ‘Traitors’ contestant

On this season of The Traitors, one of the contestants is Victor Vollbrechthausen, a business executive. Celebrity body language expert Inbaal Honigman with Casino.ca said that his behavior could keep people on their toes. This could help him in the game. 

“His excited, chaotic body language could keep him in the castle a lot longer than he should be,” she said. “As his face, arms, and body all move with no rhyme or reason, the other contestants will struggle to decipher his motives, and he’ll fly under the radar for a long while.”

She said other ‘Traitors’ contestants might be overly confident  

Honigman noted that not every contestant has qualities that will give them an edge. She believed that Kim Daily, who lied about her profession, was in a bad position. She was ultimately murdered, but Honigman did not think she would have made it far regardless.

“When Kim lies about her profession, standing at the station, she’s uneasy and nervous, shuffling her feet and furrowing her brow,” she said. “Kim thinks she’s a good liar, but she’s actually quite transparent. In the armchair, Kim’s arms are wide, using honest, open body language. Her throne of lies will collapse early, and she’ll struggle to play the game.”

She also thought that Xavier Scruggs might be overly confident. She said that this would not help him in the game.

“Talking about his career and skills, Xavier falls into the trap of believing his own hype,” she said. “He uses his whole body to talk, moving his shoulders, head and hands, glowing with enthusiasm and confidence. It is exactly this overactive way of talking that will be his undoing. He thinks he can analyse the movements of others, but his own movements will give him away.”
