Travis Kelce Was ‘Extremely Protective’ of Taylor Swift in NYC Outing
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift recently stepped out at the Ambassadors Clubhouse in New York for a date night. The couple looked close in paparazzi photos snapped from the night. According to a celebrity body language expert, Kelce was doing all he could to make his new wife feel secure.

Swift and Kelce went to the Ambassadors Clubhouse in New York’s NoMad district. Body language expert Inbaal Honigman with Casino.org said Swift exuded confidence in photos from the night.
“During the couple’s outing, Taylor’s head does the talking. She raises her head in a very different, and new way,” she explained. “Old photos of Travis and Taylor out and about, from the start of their relationship, feature the singing star’s head fully lowered, chin curled back into her neck.”
She explained that Swift seemed happy to show off her husband.
“This used to be her signature move for being papped with Kelce, chin lowered, protecting her throat,” she said. “That protective, over-sensitive gesture is now almost entirely gone. Walking by her new husband now, Taylor’s head is raised with pride. She’s happy for everyone to know them, and see them, and know that her favourite guy said ‘I do’.”
Honigman believes that Kelce’s presence also helped Swift feel more confident.
“Taylor hasn’t suddenly transformed into a powerhouse of unchecked confidence, but her strong, secure stance and raised chin when she’s by her hubby indicate a shift for the better in her self-esteem,” she said. “She feels like she is stronger and safer beside him now.”
Travis Kelce seemed protective of Taylor Swift
Honigman said that Kelce always seems protective of Swift when they’re in public. This did not change during their recent outing. She noted that Kelce seemed to try to make himself seem larger.
“For his part, Travis is just as protective as he’s always been. As he walks next to Taylor, his steps are broad and his arms spread outwards, Travis expands his form to take up space next to Taylor. In the animal kingdom, animals expand their bodies to look larger, more intimidating, or harder to swallow when threatened by predators. Travis feels as if his new wife’s safety is his responsibility.”
He also held her hand in a reassuring and protective way.
“Travis holds Taylor’s hand on the short trip back to the car, in an extremely protective way,” he said. “Not only is his palm wrapped around hers protectively, but his wrist is bent, forming a little roof of protection over her hand.”
Even when he let go of Swift’s hand, Honigman said Kelce looked out for her.
“Travis doesn’t let go of Taylor’s hand until he absolutely has to, and even then, his head swivels as he looks around to make sure that nothing can harm his darling wife.”
They are reportedly enjoying their time as a married couple
Swift and Kelce married at Madison Square Garden in July. After a long period of planning, they are reportedly happy settling into married life.
“Taylor and Travis spent so much time together in the months leading up to the wedding, and they were pretty much inseparable,” a source told Page Six. “Now they’re settling into this new rhythm as a married couple and really enjoying what that feels like.”
They are reportedly excited to live together in a shared home.
“They both still light up when they refer to each other as husband and wife, and there’s something really exciting and special about that for them,” the source said. “They’re just incredibly happy to be in this next chapter together and are enjoying figuring out what their new normal looks like.”
Now that wedding planning is done, both are also focusing on their careers.
“Taylor has been pouring herself into writing new music and is incredibly inspired creatively,” the insider said. “Songwriting has been her main focus, and she’s really excited about what’s taking shape. Travis is completely dialed in on this NFL season right now. He’s focused on football, his team and having the best season he possibly can.”
He is reportedly also thinking about his post-football career, but his primary focus is this season.
