Victoria Beckham Said Negative Attention After Brooklyn’s Post Hasn’t Impacted Her Business
Victoria Beckham has recently opened up about her ongoing rift with her son, Brooklyn. Early this year, Brooklyn posted a bombshell statement about no longer wanting a relationship with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham. The statement generated some backlash towards the Beckhams, but Victoria said that her businesses haven’t suffered.
Victoria Beckham said the Brooklyn Beckham drama hasn’t hurt her business
In Brooklyn’s statement, he accused his parents of prioritizing their brand over their family. He also accused his mother of dancing inappropriately at his wedding. Victoria said she and David have always tried to be the best parents they could be.
“I think that we’ve always — we love our children so much,” she told the Wall Street Journal. “We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be. And you know, we’ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children. And you know, that’s all I really want to say about it.”
Many people have found the details in Brooklyn’s statements, particularly the ones about Victoria, to be fascinating. Fans have continued to support Victoria, but some have slammed the Beckham parents. Victoria said that the backlash hasn’t damaged her fashion or beauty lines, though.
“I think that ultimately people are buying my product because the product is really good,” she said. “I don’t think they’re buying my eyeliner just because it’s me.”
In some ways, Victoria’s career even benefited from the scandal. She got her first solo No. 1 after her son posted his statement.
