What Countries Have Blocked Kanye West From Playing Concerts?
Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, continues hitting obstacles as he tries to play concerts throughout Europe. Because of the artist’s history of making antisemitic comments, a number of countries have blocked him from entering. While Ye issued a public apology for his remarks, this hasn’t been enough for a growing number of nations. Here are the places that have blocked Ye from performing.

Ye planned to perform a concert in Poland this upcoming June. The country has canceled the performance because of his antisemitism.
“The decision to organize a Kanye West concert in Poland is unacceptable,” Culture Minister Marta Cienkowska said on social media. “We are talking about an artist who has publicly expressed antisemitic views, downplayed crimes, and profited from selling swastika T-shirts. These are not ‘controversies.’ This is a deliberate crossing of boundaries and the normalization of hatred.”
Cienkowska said allowing West to perform in Poland felt incredibly inappropriate given the country’s history with the Holocaust.
“Artistic freedom does not mean giving a free pass to everything,” she added. “Culture cannot be a space for those who exploit it to spread hatred.”
Poland is the latest country to block Ye from performing. The United Kingdom banned him, leading to the cancellation of Wireless Festival, which he was set to headline. In 2025, Australia barred his entry because of his song “Heil Hitler.” France is also considering banning Ye. He voluntarily postponed a concert in Marseille as the country deliberates on the future of his show. Politicians in the country have campaigned to keep him out.
“I refuse to let Marseille be a showcase for those who promote hatred and unabashed Nazism,” Marseille Mayor Benoît Payan said. “Kanye West is not welcome at the Vélodrome, our temple of living together and belonging to all Marseillais.”
Despite the growing number of countries who have banned Ye, others have allowed him to perform.
