‘Welcome to Plathville’ Star Ethan Plath Is ‘Finally’ Divorced: ‘Put That In the Dustbin’
Ethan Plath is celebrating in Tuesday’s episode of Welcome to Plathville.
More than four years after he and Olivia Plath split up, the pair are officially divorced.

“I have some exciting news about my divorce. My ex, she finally got back to the attorneys and sent them all her information,” Ethan tells his former girlfriend Teegan in a clip (via Instagram) from the June 9 episode. “She did sign it.”
“I’m divorced,” he tells a producer with a smile. “It’s definitely a great feeling. Put that in a dustbin. Finally. It’s something I’ve been waiting on for a long, long time.” (Ethan and Olivia’s divorce was finalized earlier this year.)
Teagan is also feeling positive about Ethan’s divorce. The lingering entanglement with Olivia was one reason they split. Now, with his marriage behind them, she seems “more of an open door” for them to possibly start dating again.
In the clip, Ethan blames Olivia for dragging out the divorce process, a claim he’s also made in earlier episodes of Welcome to Plathville. He’s even suggested that his ex was deliberately stalling in order to sabotage his new relationship with Teegan.
Ethan and Olivia Plath had a contentious divorce
Olivia – who no longer appears on the TLC show – would likely argue with Ethan’s assessment of the divorce process. She and her former husband split up in February 2022, though they didn’t announce their separation until October 2023.
In a season 6 episode of Welcome to Plathville, Olivia and Ethan met up to discuss finalizing their split. An emotional Ethan was reluctant to accept the end of his marriage, while Olivia was clearly ready to move on.
“I just think that dragging it out will make it harder for a lot longer,” she told him.
“I feel you can move on so easily,” he replied. “I don’t understand that … Are you sure we can’t make this work?”
“I know that Ethan and I are not getting back together,” she told a producer. “I’ve moved on. I’m done. And I feel like Ethan’s indecision confirms my decision.”
Olivia and Ethan eventually filed for divorce in early 2024. But that initial petition was never finalized; he said she filled out the paperwork incorrectly, while she said he failed to submit all his information. An extensive back and forth followed, with delays because Olivia was out of the country. The vibe was frosty when they met up in season 7. By then, there was no question of a reconciliation.
“I would like for this to be done,” Olivia said. “And I would like for this to be wrapped up so we can both move on.”
