On Wednesday, the network announced that it had renewed original series When Hope Calls for a third season.
‘When Hope Calls’ Season 3 to premiere in 2026

When Hope Calls: Brookfield, which is currently in production, is expected to return to TV in 2026.
“Guess who’s back?” series star Cindy Busby said in a on-set video she shared on Instagram.
In addition to Busby, returning cast members on the When Calls the Heart spinoff include Christopher Russell, Sarah Fisher, Nick Bateman, and Trevor Donovan, as well as Wendy Crewson, Hanneke Talbot, and Simon Arblaster, and Jon McLaren.
“We are delighted to continue the journey of When Hope Calls,” said Bill Abbott, president and CEO of Great American Media. “This series embodies the heart, hope, and values that resonate so strongly with audiences and define our brand. With a stellar cast leading the way, we look forward to continuing to share inspiring stories from Brookfield that viewers love.”
Cindy Busby teased Nora’s journey in ‘When Hope Calls’ Season 3
When Hope Calls is a small-town drama focused on an orphanage. In season 2, Nora Anderson (Busby) arrived in town to reunite with her long-lost niece and ended up taking over running the orphanage. In the cliffhanger finale, Nora – who was previously a lawyer in San Francisco – learned that she might have inadvertently participated in a crime by unknowingly helping another lawyer bribe a judge.
“I see that storyline not going well,” Busby told Soaps.com. “It’ll probably cause a lot of issues to come up for her … she’ll have to salvage her reputation and make people believe that she wasn’t trying to buy her way out of the legal system by doing things the wrong way.”
But it’s not all bad news for Nora. There’s also her slow-burn romance with Mountie Michael Fletcher (Russell). Busby urged viewers to be patient as that relationship develops.
“In these types of shows, it’s got that longevity feel, and therefore, you don’t want to give away everything right out of the gate. So you want things to be a slow burn, because that’s why people come back and watch the show,” she said. “A lot of these rom coms, like the movies I’ve been a part of for years, you only get the kiss at the end of the movie. That’s the gift you get. Do I see them getting together? Absolutely. Are there going to be many challenges along the way? Yes, there are.”
