Where Does Adrian Grenier Live Now?
In 2006, The Devil Wears Prada captured the attention of movie audiences. 20 years later, the hype around The Devil Wears Prada 2 is even greater. As the flick hits theaters, just as the Met Gala is set to take place, fans can’t stop talking. They aren’t just talking about the flick and the fashion, though. The absence of Adrian Grenier, who played Nate in The Devil Wears Prada, is also heavily debated. It has also raised many questions about where Grenier has been. He is living far from Hollywood these days, but he’s still willing to entertain acting roles. He even would have been open to an appearance in The Devil Wears Prada 2.
Where does Adrian Grenier live now?
In the early 2000s, Adrian Grenier was one of Hollywood’s rising stars. With a megawatt smile and striking blue-green eyes, Grenier was landing roles at every turn. He starred as Vincent Chase in Entourage and was a main love interest in more than a few movies. These days, though, he’s traded in much of his Hollywood fame for a much quieter life.
Grenier left California behind and moved to a sprawling ranch in Texas. In a small Texas town, he purchased over 40 acres of land and, alongside his wife, Jordan, founded Kintsugi Ranch. The property sits roughly 45 minutes outside of Austin, in Bastrop, Texas. For Grenier, it represents far more than a change of scenery — it is a complete change in lifestyle. In 2024, Grenier sat down for an interview on Today and revealed he largely stepped away from Hollywood to commit to his wife and have a family. In a separate chat, he revealed that after two decades in Hollywood and a childhood in New York, he was craving a slower, more grounded life. He has found it in Texas.
Why wasn’t Adrian Grenier included in The Devil Wears Prada 2?
While Adrian Grenier is taking life a bit slower these days, he hasn’t completely walked away from his acting career. In fact, he’s popped back up recently to poke fun at the fact that he was not invited back for The Devil Wears Prada 2. In a Starbucks commercial, he says he’s not involved in a “certain” sequel, but insists he is fine with it, then notes it’s “all good energy.” The commercial, for Starbucks’ refresher drinks, is clearly playing off the chatter about the movie.
So, why wasn’t he involved? Well, simply put, he wasn’t asked. Grenier chatted with People in March about the sequel and admitted that he was a little bummed that he wasn’t asked back. Still, he insists he understands that, in the modern context, Nate is a largely controversial character who no longer fits the storyline. Director David Frankel insists they considered sneaking the character in, but it ultimately didn’t happen.
All we want to know is if Grenier has watched the flick to see what became of his long-ago on-screen love.
