Halsey recently shaded all of their male exes in a post about The Batman. Here’s what the pop star said about the film and how it relates to her famous exes

Halsey subtly shaded her exes while posting about ‘The Batman’

Halsey made her feelings about her exes and the newest Batman movie known in a series of tweets.

On Mar. 10, Halsey tweeted, “I just want everyone to know that @romankemp fought me for literal years over whether or not Battinson would be good and now he likes him. I never switched up. This is my Christmas.”

Roman Kemp is an English TV personality and radio host, and a good friend of Halsey. Apparently, the pop star supported Robert Pattinson’s controversial casting in the iconic role, and now Kemp agrees with her after the film’s release. Many Batman fans weren’t sure Pattinson was the right fit for the part, as he is known for starring in the Twilight movies and the Harry Potter series.

But Pattinson brought a new flavor to the role, describing his version of Batman as a “weirdo.” “He doesn’t have a playboy persona at all, so he’s kind of a weirdo as Bruce and a weirdo as Batman, and I kept thinking there’s a more nihilistic slant to it,” Pattinson told GQ.

A fan replied to Halsey’s support for Pattinson as Batman by writing, “LOLLLLL also need ur thoughts on paul dano riddler.” Halsey responded by tweeting, “Confirmed for me that i have terrible taste in men,” shading all of her male exes in one fell swoop.

She quickly posted another tweet about her current partner and the father of her son, writing, “Alev is exempt.”

Halsey has dated several famous men in the past

Halsey has had several tumultuous, high-profile relationships. Although the singer identifies as bisexual, they referred to their “terrible taste in men,” shading only the males they have dated in the past.

One of Halsey’s most famous exes is G-Eazy. The singer outed G-Eazy for cheating on her repeatedly during their on and off relationship between 2017 and 2018. She has spoken about the rapper’s mistreatment of her in several interviews and concerts, and she even named him an abuser.

Machine Gun Kelly is another of Halsey’s famous exes. They were romantically linked in 2016, before the pop star started dating G-Eazy, and again in 2018. After they broke up, the “Papercuts” singer revealed an intimate detail about his relationship with the pop star.

When asked in a September 2018 interview with the Breakfast Club if he had “smashed” Halsey, Machine Gun Kelly replied, “Absolutely.” It was the first time either star publicly revealed that their relationship was more than platonic.

The same day the interview came out, Halsey tweeted, “how *absolutely* pathetic.”

Halsey also dated Emmy Award-winning actor Evan Peters. During their relationship, Peters retweeted a video in which a person cheered on the police chasing down looters on TV. The American Horror Story star later apologized and wrote in a since-deleted tweet that he “unknowingly retweeted it.” “I sincerely apologize if anyone was offended,” he wrote in a since-deleted Twitter post. The Mare of Easttown actor then joined Black Out Tuesday.

One social media user tweeted a screenshot of Peters’ retweeted video and captioned it, “@Evan_Peters is this why halsey broke up with you.” Halsey liked the tweet and scrubbed her social media accounts of any trace of her relationship with the actor.

The singer offered more opinions about ‘The Batman’

Halsey shared more of their opinions on The Batman. Besides voicing support for Robert Pattinson, they revealed their crush on one of the film’s stars.

“❤️ can’t stop thinking about paul dano ❤️” they tweeted on Mar. 13.

It seems fans wanted the pop star to fall for a different cast member. One shocked fan replied, “Zoë kravitz is literally right there 😭 this is a horrific tweet to wake up to,” while another fan wrote, “Out of the whole cast??? Really???”
