Amanda Conner Denies Divorce ‘Rumors’ Despite Being the One to Start Them
Amanda Conner and Jenelle Evans never appeared on the Teen Mom franchises together, but both alums have an uncanny knack for denying rumors they themselves started. Conner, who burst onto the scene after meeting Ryan Edwards in a court-ordered rehab program, recently took to social media to dismiss rumors that she and Ryan are divorcing and that he has been abusive. There is one problem with that, though. Amanda Conner is the one who leveled the allegations, and it was all recorded in a 911 call she placed after her own DUI arrest. Here is what is happening now.
Amanda Conner called 911 to claim she was divorcing her allegedly abusive spouse
Amanda Conner had a pretty rough May. The mother of two faced weeks of relapse speculation before she was arrested on Memorial Day weekend for driving under the influence. Ryan is the one who blew the whistle on her drug use, and she was clearly unhappy about it.
Shortly after she was released from a Chattanooga lockup, she called 911 to request a police escort to retrieve her belongings. In a recording obtained by The Ashley Reality Roundup Group, Conner tells the 911 dispatcher that she is in the middle of divorcing Ryan and that he’s been “very abusive.” She went on to claim she had evidence of injuries he had given her.
Amanda’s sister made similar claims. Ashley Conner used her own social media platforms to accuse Ryan of nearly killing her sister, claiming he had strangled her a couple of months before the arrest. The trouble apparently extended beyond the couple themselves, too. On Mother’s Day, a neighbor reportedly called 911 to report the pair screaming at each other late into the evening, with a child seemingly present. Locals had also spotted them arguing loudly in public in the weeks prior.
Amanda Conner claims she’s confused about where the rumors started
Amanda Conner and Ryan Edwards must have worked things out because Conner took to social media to defend her marriage. Instead of simply saying they had worked things out, she acted genuinely confused by all the divorce and abuse “rumors.”
In her latest upload, she insisted she and Ryan were doing just fine and that they were not getting divorced. In fact, she claimed he was stuck with her “until he dies.” She went on to claim she had no idea where those “rumors” were coming from. Amanda has opted not to explain why she made claims she now alleges are false, choosing instead to act as if the 911 recording does not exist.
Their relationship timeline is pretty compact
Ryan Edwards and Amanda Conner’s marriage is less than a year old, and their romance is only a few years old in total. Still, it feels like we’ve lived 1,000 lives with them. The couple met back in 2023 while both were court-ordered to attend a rehab program, and they moved in together not long after.
In February 2025, they welcomed a daughter. While she is their first child as a couple, both have children from previous relationships. That September, just two weeks after Ryan’s divorce from Mackenzie Standifer was finalized, they wed. Things seemed fine for a while, but as spring 2026 rolled in, fans noticed subtle changes suggesting not everything was going well.
Maci Bookout, who shares son Bentley Edwards with Ryan and had previously been a vocal cheerleader for the couple, appeared less involved with the duo. Amanda’s son also stopped appearing in her social media posts, and her uploads became more erratic.
While Ryan is keeping a low profile right now, this is not the first time he’s been accused of domestic violence. This is a developing story.
