Ryan Edwards and Amanda Conner’s Drama Continues: Calls to the Police and Custody Woes
On May 24, Ryan Edwards placed a 911 call at 4 am. In the recording, the former Teen Mom star told dispatchers that his wife of less than a year had been awake for two days and had driven off with their infant daughter in the vehicle. He said he believed she was under the influence of narcotics. Police arrested Amanda on a dangerous mountain road, but the following day, she was spotted out with Ryan. Fans assumed that was the end of the story. As it turns out, it was just the tip of the iceberg. Since that arrest, Amanda has called the police on Ryan, and now her sister is claiming Amanda has been abused by Ryan. Here is where we stand right now.
Amanda Conner called the police on Ryan, too
Amanda Conner and Ryan Edwards’ story is getting more complicated and dramatic by the second. While the couple seemed to be spending time together immediately following Amanda’s release from jail, the calm didn’t last long. Almost immediately following her release, Amanda called the police on Ryan.
According to the Ashley Reality Roundup Group, Amanda called the police in hopes of being escorted to retrieve her belongings from Ryan. She told a police dispatcher that her husband had been violent with her in the past, and that she feared the same might happen again. While she said he was violent in the past, she did not suggest there had been a new violent incident, and no arrests were made.
Amanda’s sister, Ashley Conner, has emerged to back up her sister’s claims. Ashley, who the world had not met before this, claims Ryan and Amanda’s battles have been so heated in recent months that he nearly killed her. Ashley Conner claims he strangled her sister.
There have been multiple 911 calls about their home
While this is the first time Amanda has mentioned Ryan’s violent behavior, it is clear that there has been trouble between the pair for some time. They have been spotted multiple times in the last couple of months having very loud arguments in public. Several weeks ago, locals took to social media to reveal they had seen the pair arguing in town. An additional argument allegedly took place at their home on the same day.
On Mother’s Day, a 911 call was placed by a neighbor who claimed the pair were screaming at each other late into the evening, and that a child appeared to be present for the argument. It is unclear what happened when police arrived, but Ryan has a well-documented history of violent outbursts. His first ex-wife, Mackenzie Standifer, was granted an order of protection after Ryan destroyed her home and repeatedly threatened her. In the months after linking up with Ryan, Amanda took to TikTok and Instagram to mock Mackenzie. The two had a brief shade war, though they seem to have largely left each other alone recently.
Where is the baby?
Amanda Conner and Ryan Edwards’ personal drama appears to be bleeding over into their children’s lives, too. After Amanda’s arrest, she was ordered to have no contact with Presley Edwards, her one-year-old daughter. The baby doesn’t appear to be in Ryan’s custody, either.
Shortly after the arrest, Ryan’s mother, Jenn Edwards, took to Instagram to share a picture of Presley, indicating she is currently watching over the infant. Ryan took to social media to ask for prayers, while Amanda resurfaced on TikTok to apologize to her supporters. It also seems like she is hoping to parlay the situation into a more robust social media career. In the upload, she told her fans she’ll be taking them along on her sobriety journey.
It is unclear when she is next expected in court, and how the custody issue will play out. Amanda’s older child, Brandon, is reportedly staying with family elsewhere.
