Andy Cohen Gives Brutally Honest Reason Why Bravo Put ‘Ladies of London’ on Pause

There’s no conspiracy when it comes to Bravo’s short-lived Ladies of London reboot, Andy Cohen says. 

In June, it was reported that the network was putting Ladies of London: The New Reign on pause after just one season. The news that the show would not return came a shock to those who had tuned in when the series premiered in March. Soon, theories began swirling about why Bravo had hit the brakes, with some speculating that a rumored lawsuit from cast member Margo Stilley might have given the network cold feet. 

Andy Cohen says ratings to blame to ‘Ladies of London’ pause 

The real reason that Ladies of London is one pause is far less dramatic, according to Cohen. The Real Housewives mastermind addressed the situation in a recent episode of his Radio Andy show on SiriusXM (via Instagram). 

“Here’s the thing: When shows get on pause or aren’t picked up, it is because the ratings are not good enough. So that’s the thing,” he said. 

Cohen went on to suggest he was a bit baffled that Ladies of London didn’t capture the attention of Bravo viewers. 

“This was such a beloved show,” he said.

Though loyal fans of the original Ladies of London were excited to see the show return with a new cast after a long absence, The New Reign failed to stand out in Bravo’s crowded lineup. Between new shows like The Real Housewives of Rhode Island and The Valley: Persian Style, plus the intense drama on Summer House Season 10, Ladies of London got lost in th shuffle. That muted interest prompted Bravo’s decision to put it on pause – its diplomatic term for shelving a show, perhaps indefinitely 

Margo Stilley denied rumors she’d sued Bravo 

Cohen’s comments came a few weeks after Stilley addressed rumors that she’d sued Bravo because she didn’t like her Ladies of London edit. 

“I mean, what kind of legal action could I have against the network? Like, what grounds would I have?” she said during an appearance on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live. 

“I’m off social media. I deactivated all my accounts because I found it really distracting. So I haven’t actually seen anything,” she continued. “I just know what the rumors are. Like, what was this alleged lawsuit for?”

“Was the lawsuit filed? Did anybody find the lawsuit?” the 9 Songs star went on to say. Lewis’s cohost Jamison Scala admitted that he hadn’t seen any evidence she’d sued the network.

“Oh, so then there’s not a lawsuit,” Stilley said. 

Ladies of London is streaming on Peacock.
