Ashley Iaconetti returned to reality TV to star in RHORI, but she said a fight between her castmates nearly made her want to quit the show. Iaconetti joined castmates Jo-Ellen Tiberi, Liz McGraw, and Alicia Carmody at a show. She said that the fight between them was so intense that she wasn’t sure she could handle being on the cast.

Ashley Iaconetti said an argument made her want to quit ‘RHORI’

In the tenth episode of The Real Housewives of Rhode Island, the cast attended Rich DiMare’s show. Iaconetti and Rosie DiMare arrived after Tiberi, McGraw, and Carmody, not knowing that the women fought in the car on the way over. Iaconetti said it was immediately apparent that something was off. She said Tiberi seemed too eager to change the topic.

“I was like, ‘Why are you being fake right now? What’s going on?’ I was so scared,” she said on The Julia Cunningham Show. “The energy was so scary, and you could tell she was trying to get off topic.”

The argument between Tiberi and McGraw escalated. Iaconetti said this was difficult to witness. After the fight, she called her husband, Jared Haibon, and questioned if she should quit the show.

“It was the most intense scene for me of the entire filming,” she said. “I called Jared afterwards in the car, I was like, Jared, I don’t think I can do it anymore.”

While this was the most intense scene for her, Iaconetti said there were many moments on the show that shocked her.

“Like, I’ve never seen people communicate with each other in the way in which I experienced this summer,” she told Variety. “I couldn’t believe my eyes so many times sitting in these situations and I can only imagine that I will represent the audience at home watching.”

She said that she often felt just as shocked as people watching at home.

“Seeing women scream at each other, point fingers in their faces… I just couldn’t believe the level that some voices can get to in an argument! I don’t know if these arguments are more over the top than your average Housewives arguments, but there’s going to be a lot of eye bulging when you watch this. Just like, ‘Oh my God. I cannot believe she said that.’”

Ashley Iaconetti spoke about joining the cast of ‘RHORI’

Iaconetti was on The Bachelor before RHORI. She said that she likes reality television, but she had some trepidation about joining the Bravo show.

“It’s a little more mixed into your real life. It’s filmed in your own home, with your family,” she said. “It gets more incorporated into your life. And so that was something that Jared and I discussed. We went over the decision for over a month, to be honest, because we were in such a happy, great place. And we’re like, ‘Do we jump into this again?’”

Still, she said that she quickly adjusted to having cameras follow her.

She said she doesn’t watch much reality television

Though Iaconetti has appeared on several reality shows, she said she doesn’t watch much of the genre. Her knowledge of the Housewives franchise comes from her mother.

“Honestly, the most I’ve watched of Housewives has been with my mom,” she said. “She has always loved the OG New York housewives. She watched all their seasons.”

Iaconetti believes that being on reality television makes her not want to watch it.

“Hilariously, I don’t watch a ton of reality shows in general,” she said. “Besides The Bachelor, I pretty much would only watch The Kardashians. It’s one of those things where if you’re so close to it, you don’t necessarily watch it.”
