Konya Hendricks Schuh has spotted a diamond in the rough.

In the next installment of A&E’s Betting on Beloit, the Wisconsin real estate agent reveals her latest project home – a once grand but now dilapidated mansion that is in need of some serious TLC if there’s any hope of restoring it to its former glory.

Konya says this crumbling home is ‘so pretty’

“We have a lot of inventory right now, and Pete’s busy at college,” Konya explains in a clip from the October 3 episode. “But I’m not going to miss a good opportunity. I have had my eye on this house for years.”

Konya can see the potential in the crumbling home. But can anyone else?

“I feel like I’m going to roll off the front porch,” her husband Matt quips as they walk up to the front door.

“Obviously, I understand the porch needs to be rebuilt. I mean, when you look at the house at first glance, if you’re driving by really, really fast, and you just look at it, it’s so pretty,” Konya says.

Konya is all-in, but Matt and her project manager Pete have some concerns.

“There’s no curb appeal,” Matt whispers to Pete.

“No curb appeal,” Pete agrees. “That house is falling apart. Before you even walked in the house.”

‘Betting On Beloit’ team encounters dated shag carpet and yucky smells

The outside needs some sprucing up, but maybe the inside is a hidden gem? Not exactly. The ‘70s-era shag carpet is just the beginning of the issues.

“It’s weird because the urine [smell] overpowers the smoke smell,” Konya deadpans.

A built-in wet bar in the corner of the living room isn’t exactly a selling point. Though Konya can see the potential.

“I actually don’t hate the idea of having a mini bar there,” she says.

Pete sits down in a church pew that’s nestled in a corner of the room. A piece of old carpet is covering up some damage to the wood.

“There’s a ruined spot right there. That’s why they had carpet on it,” Pete says.

“Oh, they’re really trying to hide the damage,” Konya laughs. “They thought that was what was going to kill the deal.”
