The pair have been spotted together since the celebration, and she has coyly responded to dating rumors. Given MGK’s complicated relationship history, Johnson’s inner circle reportedly has concerns about their budding romance.

Johnson and MGK both attended Swift and Travis Kelce’s July 3 wedding at Madison Square Garden. Per People, they had “met before, but hit it off” during the celebration. The source also noted that while the romance is still new, they are very into each other.
“[They] started off as friends and were texting often, but now they’re spending more time together,” the source said. “It’s a very new start, but they’re smitten with each other right now.”
The source also added that things are “super casual” between them, but they’re “hanging out.”
“They haven’t put a label on their relationship yet; they are just seeing where spending time together will take them,” the source said.
Dakota Johnson’s friends and family have concerns about her relationship with MGK
While Johnson is reportedly smitten, her friends and family are less happy about the new relationship. Sources claim that her loved ones worry that this will end in heartbreak.
“Some people who meet MGK walk away thinking he’s an immature playboy, but one of his superpowers is that he’s a hell of a ladies’ man,” a source told the Daily Mail. “Somehow, he has that rockstar swagger and bad-boy thing down to a science, and when it comes to women, he tends to do pretty damn well for himself.”
They added that Johnson is still reeling from her split from Coldplay’s Chris Martin, who she dated for roughly eight years.
“Friends fear MGK might not be the one. She’s looking for something serious, and she knows within a few weeks whether or not they are her future husband,” they said. “She’s a hopeless romantic and really wants to settle down and get married, have kids.
