Diddy Back in Solitary Confinement After Bombshell Report About Prison Life, Sources Claim
Sean “Diddy” Combs has landed back in solitary confinement following a bombshell report about his life behind bars.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs sent to solitary after NBC report
The disgraced hip-hop star has been placed in the Special Housing Unit at FCI Fort Dix, according to TMZ. The move comes as a response to a NBC News report earlier this week where insiders alleged that he had access to an illicit cellphone and high-end liquor behind bars and was paying other inmates to cook and clean for him.
Sources told TMZ that it’s normal for an inmate to be sent to solitary during an investigation. Earlier this year, Diddy was also sent to the SHU following a fight with another prisoner.
Anonymous inmates who spoke to NBC said that the Bad Boy Records founder was spending thousands of dollar every month to live a lux life behind bars. Fellow prisoners cooked him elaborate meals and even gave him massages, sources said. The outlet also obtained footage of Diddy – who is serving a 50-month sentence on prostitution-related charges – using a contraband cellphone, on which he allegedly views explicit photos sent to him by an old girlfriend.
“This is not some normal sh*t you see in jail. This is some rich sh*t,” one person said. “It looks crazy, but again, it’s Diddy.”
Rapper has ‘created a VIP section behind bars’
The contraband problem at Fort Dix goes beyond Diddy. On September 16, the federal government charged five men for their roles in connection with a scheme to smuggle contraband into Fort Dix, including knives, marijuana, tobacco, cellular phones, vapes, cell phone chargers, tool kits, and a tattoo kit. Two of the men were inmates, while two others were current or former corrections officers.
However, sources say that as a particularly high-profile inmate, Diddy is in a unique position at Fort Dix.
“Diddy is running that prison like he owns the place,” an insider told Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack. “Inmates wait on him, people compete to get close to him, and even some guards are starstruck. He’s basically created a VIP section behind bars.”
A source who spoke to NBC confirmed that Diddy was using his wealth and fame to make his life in prison as comfortable as possible.
“He’s a billionaire. People are in awe of him,” one person said. “Money is power, especially behind bars.”
