Ex-‘Love & Marriage: Huntsville’ Star Melody Shari Says She Has ‘No Peace’ In Cryptic Social Media Update: ‘Therapist on Speed Dial’
Melody Shari is having a tough time.
On Wednesday, the ex-Love & Marriage: Huntsville cast member took to Instagram to share a series of updates alluding to serious drama in her personal life.
Melody Shari is ‘fighting’ for her life
“The last few days I literally have been fighting for my LIFE!” Melody wrote in the first cryptic post on her Instagram Story.
“Lies won’t stand … but still … REALLY?!? Like to make up something?II? Wow,” she continued, followed by a series of praying hands emojis.
“I literally walked away from that show,” she said in the next slide, referring to Love & Marriage: Huntsville. “Was tired of the allowed abuse … the protection and covering. The constant yelling, screaming, blatant lies, cursing women out, etc. etc. on national television.”
Unfortunately, despite exiting the OWN reality series last year, Melody says she still has “no peace.”
“STILL want to see me down and out that BAD?! Still want me to be looked at as ‘on your level’ THAT bad?!” she wrote. Melody didn’t name names, but she appeared to be referring to her ex-husband, Martell Holt.
Melody starred in ‘Love & Marriage: Huntsville’ with her ex, Martell Holt
When Love & Marriage: Huntsville began, Melody and Martell appeared to have a picture-perfect marriage. But cracks soon emerged, and it became clear the relationship was deeply dysfunctional. Martell eventually confessed to cheating on Melody; later she accused him of threatening to release “revenge porn” of her and called him “emotionally abusive.” He also had a baby with his longtime affair partner, Arionne Curry. (After he and Melody split, Martell also dated Shereé Whitfield from The Real Housewives of Atlanta.)
“Decision have to be made,” Melody wrote. “Hard conversations to have. Therapist on speed dial.”
In January 2025, Melody announced she was walking away from LAMH.
“To protect my own emotional health, my own mental health, I don’t allow myself to engage or be a part of a trauma that I’m still healing from,” she told EBONY, adding that she could no longer watch the show because it was “triggering.”
Despite her efforts to distance herself from Love & Marriage: Huntsville, it sounds like Melody is getting pulled back into difficult situations.
“I barely slept last night. I literally can feel my nervous system … It’s as if I’m just shaking and can’t stop,” she wrote, adding that whatever was going on was negatively affecting her children as well. (She and Martell share three daughters and a son.)
Melody hinted that she might need to take drastic steps to protect herself.
“Telling my kids I may have to leave. But find me when you’re of age. I’ll be here,” she wrote. “One of the hardest convos of my LIFE. They don’t understand. But they do. Because they witnessed it all … seeing the pain and hurt in their eyes, I don’t know what they’re going to do.”
