Kourtney Kardashian Shares Sweet Birthday Message to Stepson Landon Barker: ‘Light of My Life’
Kourtney Kardashian is sending her love to a special member of her family.
On Thursday, The Kardashians star took to Instagram to wish her stepson Landon Barker a happy birthday.

“A light in my life,” she captioned the photo of herself, her husband Travis Barker, and Landon. “Happy birthday @landonbarker 22!! love you forever.”
Kourtney also shared a video on her Instagram Story from Landon’s celebratory birthday dinner, which featured a crowd of friends and family serenading him with “Happy Birthday.”
Other members of the Kardashian family also made sure to recognize Landon’s big day. “Happy birthday Landon,” Khloé Kardashian commented. Kim Kardashian also liked her sister’s post.
Landon is the son of Travis and Shanna Moakler, who married in 2004 and divorced in 2008. He appeared on the reality show Meet the Barkers with his parents from 2005 to 2006. Today, he’s a rapper and singer who released his first album in 2024.

While Kourtney appears to be relishing her role as a stepmom, she admits that blending her and Travis’ families was a challenge at first. (Travis is also dad to daughter Alabama and stepdaughter Atiana with Moakler.) Though she thought merging their lives would be easy because she and Travis had been friends for years, that wasn’t the case.
“So I think having that history definitely helped. And I used to think too going into it, ‘Oh, we have such a good foundation that it would just be seamless,’ ” she told Khloé on her Khloé in Wonderland podcast (via People). “But some days I’ve thought, ‘Wow, this is really hard, blending families.’ ”
But being her adult kids’ second mom also has its rewards.
“I love my role as stepmom because I don’t feel like it’s up to me to discipline and so we’ve kind of allowed each other to…we’ll talk about it and then he can handle the harder things,” she said.
“I definitely give advice or try to be a good role model, or even just how they say modeling is the best way to kind of teach your kids more than just saying certain things,” Kourtney continued. “So I feel that hopefully just being a positive influence or an example, and we have lots of good conversations and we laugh. I feel like in the best way, I can be there to be supportive, or really in any way that they want me to be for as much or as little as they want.”
