Kris Jenner saved the day for the Invictus Games, according to reports.
The reality TV icon and momager is said to have helped secure millions of dollars in funding to support Prince Harry’s sporting event for wounded veterans. With the funding, the games could have faced a serious financial crisis.

The next Invictus Games are scheduled for July 2027 in Birmingham. Planning is well underway for the games, but organizers needed an additional £20 million to cover expenses, according to Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack.
Jenner, who is friends with Meghan Markle, stepped in to find a solution to the games’ financial problem. The Kardashians star is also friendly with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and his wife, Lauren Sanchez. She served a bridge connecting Sanchez and Bezos with Harry and Meghan.
“Kris didn’t just know both sides — she had their trust,” a source told Naughty But Nice. “Meghan needed help. Kris had Lauren’s ear, and Lauren had Jeff’s. One conversation led to another, and suddenly Amazon was at the table.”
Invictus Games were reportedly facing a funding crisis
Earlier this year, NewsNation reported that the Invictus Games were on ‘life support” due to a “budget crisis.” Among the many issues plaguing the organization were Australia’s decision to pull funding and Boeing’s choice to step back as a corporate sponsor. For the upcoming games in Birmingham, the U.K. government has committed £26 million in funding. But experts say that the event’s total operating cost could fall between £30 million and £60 million, leaving a significant gap.
Bezos’ unconfirmed support of the Invictus Games could be a win-win for everyone involved. Jenner gets to build goodwill and strengthen her connections with the elite, Meghan and Harry can be confident that the game will go forward without funding issues, and Bezos looks generous by supporting an event for a deserving group of athletes.
“This is classic Kris Jenner. She knows who needs what — and exactly who can deliver it. Meghan needed a powerful new partner, and Kris knew precisely which door to knock on,” a Hollywood source told Shuter.
For the Amazon founder, opening his pockets for Invictus is a relatively small gesture that could pay big dividends in terms of cultural and social cachet.
“This is pocket change for Jeff, but potentially transformative for Invictus. Lauren understands the power of backing major cultural events,” the insider said. If Jeff can put Amazon money behind the Met Gala, why wouldn’t they help Meghan and Harry?”
