LEGO is experiencing something of a resurgence, with the toy brick purveyor releasing some highly sought-after and long-rumored kits this year. The company is days away from the release of a Peanuts kit that has fans going crazy and has dropped Pokémon sets that have every collector clamoring for more. They aren’t stopping there, either. LEGO is prepared to celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Lord of the Rings with the most ambitious set in the collaboration to date. Here is everything you need to know about the release.
LEGO is ready to gamble big on ‘Lord of the Rings’
LEGO has been betting on collaborations recently, and it looks like they will bring that energy into the summer, too. The toy company just announced plans to release The Lord of the Rings: Minas Tirith in honor of the film series’ 25th anniversary. It is set to be the largest LEGO The Lord of the Rings set to date. The model recreates the iconic White City of Gondor in stunning detail, combining an intricate microscale city exterior with hidden secrets and details throughout the interior. The set also includes 10 minifigures, as well as movie-themed accessories to make the model really pop.
Now feels like the perfect time for the drop, too. The iconic set will be released on June 4, with LEGO Insiders gaining early access on June 1. The release is about six months shy of the first film’s 25th anniversary. The first The Lord of the Rings movie hit theaters on December 19, 2001. The set, containing more than 8,000 pieces, will retail for $649.99.

The company has been collaborating with Star Wars with great success for years. The toy company has done the same with Harry Potter. They made waves in 2018 with a massive 6,000-piece castle model. A handful of other beloved Potter-themed sets have followed.
More recently, the LEGO Pokémon set featuring Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise had everyone talking. The kid launched in February 2026 with an impressive 6,838 pieces. Smaller Eevee and Pikachu kits, along with an upcoming Poké Ball set rumored for August, round out the collaboration. The upcoming Poke Ball set is rumored ot be over 2,000 peices, according to Reddit fans. Collaborations with Marvel, Disney, and even Nike have ensured there is something for everoyne. There are plenty more to come, too.
