‘Love Island USA’ Winners Trinity and Bryce Have a ‘Real Emotional Connection’ But Need Privacy, Psychic Says: ‘I Do Not See an Ending’
Bryce Alakai and Trinity Tatum might not have gone into Love Island USA expecting to find real love, but that’s what they got.
The latest winners of Peacock’s hit reality dating series went home with a $100,000 grand prize and the makings of a true relationship. After a wild season in the villa, the couple will find themselves back in the spotlight during the season 8 reunion on August 31. But after taking the stage with hosts Andy Cohen and Ariana Madix, Bryce and Trinity might want to take a step back and focus on themselves, psychic medium Allison Carmany told Showbiz Cheat Sheet.
Trinity and Bryce were ‘surprised’ by their ‘Love Island’ connection
“When I tune into Trinity and Bryce together, the very first thing I feel is that this is a real emotional connection,” the spiritual teacher and founder of Soulful Evolution said. “I don’t get the sense that either of them walked in expecting to find something this meaningful. It surprised them both, and that surprise is part of why it feels authentic to me.”
Carmany said she sees a strong future for these lovebirds, but their outlook isn’t rock solid, especially if they get distracted by outside influences.
“Everyone keeps pointing at the age gap, and honestly, that is not where I feel the risk,” she said of the pair. (Bryce is 30, while Trinity is 22.) “Age gaps become a problem when two people are in different seasons of life, not when the number is different. What I feel around these two is that the real question is pace. They are both about to be offered a hundred versions of their future at once. Whether they move at a speed that works for both of them will matter far more than their birthdays.”
“I keep feeling that the next six to 12 months matter more than anything that happened inside that villa.” Carmany explained. “The villa is a sealed world. No phones, no jobs, no family opinions, no bills. Their relationship was the center of everything. Now they are stepping into two separate lives, two careers, and millions of strangers with opinions about their love story. They are going to have to figure out who Trinity is, who Bryce is, and who Trinity and Bryce are together, and those are three different questions. If ‘the Love Island couple’ becomes their whole identity, that is where pressure builds. This relationship needs a private life that has nothing to do with an audience.”
‘Love Island USA’ Season 8 winners could have more ‘longevity’ than people expect
Carmany added that she sees “doors opening” for both Trinity and Bryce in the coming months. But navigating competing opportunities could be a real challenge, especially as they also address questions such as where to live and how much of their relationship to share with the public.
But despite some potential hurdles, these Love Island stars could go the distance.
“I actually give this relationship more longevity than people expect from a show couple,” Carmany said. “I do not see an ending around them right now. I see them genuinely trying to build something real outside of the show. Further out there is a crossroads, a point where they consciously decide what this becomes. Falling in love and building a life together are two different skills. Plenty of couples have the first. The ones who last learn the second. There is a nesting energy around them, almost a craving for normalcy after such an abnormal beginning. I would not be surprised to see conversations about living arrangements sooner than people think.”
The Love Island USA Season 8 reunion streams Monday, August 31 at 9 p.m. ET (6 p.m. PT) on Peacock.
