Mary Cosby Plays Peacemaker in ‘RHOSLC’ Return After Tragic Death of Her Son, Robert Jr.
Mary Cosby will be center stage in the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, which premieres September 16.
The new episodes of the hit Bravo show will address the tragic death of Mary’s only child Robert Cosby Jr., who died in February 2026 at age 23.

“I’m so blessed and thankful that I can go through this with Robert Sr.,” Mary says in the first teaser for RHOSLC Season 7.
“You’rve been my strength, my sidepiece,” Mary tells her husband of 28 years as they sit in their church. “I mean my sidekick.”
The Bravo star isn’t just leaning on her husband during this difficult time. She’s also getting support from her fellow cast members.
“I could not have got through without you guys,” she tells Angie Kastanevas. “You were there for me.”
But even as she copes with the loss of Robert Jr., Mary is also finding the strength to help her fellow Housewives.
“I hope you guys come here to be a boss about your own feelings,” she tells the group as they sit down to a meal together. “If you’re hurt with someone, say it.”
“Get on your knees, and ask God to help you,” she adds.

The rest of the Salt Lake City Housewives may well need that help. Three different women are dealing with crumbing marriages: Angie Katsanevas and Shawn Trujillo, Whitney and Justin Rose, and Bronwyn Newport and Todd Bradley.
Angie and Shawn are wrestling with the effect their separation could have on their daughter, Elektra. “If we choose to go our separate ways, that will crush her,” he tells her.
Whitney tearfully wonders to Justin if they can move forward or if their marriage is “over.” And Bronwyn and Todd seem headed for an ugly split.
“You like to keep your secrets hidden and then get surprised when I bring them up,” Bronwyn tells her tech exec husband.
“I’m not doing this with you,” Todd replies before walking out of the restaurant. “I hope you’re f*cking happy.”
Of course, there’s plenty of intra-cast drama as well. Lisa Barlow thinks Bronwyn’s rebound boyfriend is nothing more than a “big PR move.”
“Bronwyn weaves a web of lies,” Britani Bateman says moments later.
Meanwhile, Whitney’s attempts to make peace with Meredith Marks go nowhere. “That’s not gonna happen,” Meredith replies when Whitney asks if they can “move forward.”
“We’re all swallowing things that were said falsely about us,” Heather Gay tells the group.
Finally, there’s newcomer Ashley Quai. A friend of Lisa and Whitney, she quickly stirs thing up with a pointed roast of Angie.
“I’m gonna finish my roast by finishing Angie…the way her husband doesn’t,” she says, as the other women react with shock.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 7 premieres Wednesday, September 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. Episodes stream the next day on Peacock.
