Wendy Osefo Faces 15 Years Prison While Filming ‘RHOP’ Season 11
Wendy Osefo is an open book.
The Real Housewives of Potomac star says the upcoming season of the Bravo series will feature some of her toughest moments as she and her husband, Eddie Osefo, face up to 15 years in prison on fraud charges.

“The beauty of Housewives is, you guys are able to see us at our highest points and, unfortunately, our lowest points. This season I’m just living my truth, and you guys will get to see that,” Wendy told People at The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th season premiere on August 4.
The Wendy viewers see next season will be different than the one who joined the show in 2020, she added.
“Season 1 Wendy was finding herself, getting to know herself. I think this season of Wendy, she knows who she is, and she knows who her people are, too,” the former professor shared.
Production on the latest season of RHOP began this spring.
“We’ve begun filming, and it’s going great,” producer Andy Cohen revealed during an April 2026 episode of Watch What Happens Live. “So you’ll be happy to know.”
In addition to Wendy, the RHOP Season 11 cast includes Robyn Dixon, Karen Huger, Gizelle Bryant, Ashley Darby, Stacey Rusch, and Tia Glover.
Wendy and Eddie Osefo charged with insurance fraud
Last fall, Wendy and Eddie were arrested and charged with multiple accounts of insurance fraud. Prosecutors have accused the couple of staging a burglary at their Maryland home in April 2024 and then claiming hundreds of thousands of dollars in insurance losses.
The Osefos said they had been robbed while on a family vacation in Jamaica. However, police could find no evidence of forced entry. Further investigation revealed emails between Wendy and Eddie discussing high-value items to include on their insurance claim in order to maximize their losses, as well as an Instagram photo that showed Wendy wearing a ring she’d said was stolen.
“This ring was reported stolen in the burglary. Then, after the reported burglary, on April 27, 2024, Wendy Osefo is wearing the same ring on her left finger,” noted court documents (via WBAL).
When police searched the couple’s home, they also found at least 15 items that appear to match those that were reported stolen.
The Osefos have pleaded not guilty. Their trial is currently set to begin on January 25, 2027, in Carroll County, Maryland.
During an appearance at BravoCon 2025 shortly after her arrest, Wendy said she was focused on the future amid her legal troubles.
“You know, it’s an unfortunate situation and right now I can’t say too much, but I will say when the time is right,” she said. “I will share my story with everyone. And for now, they’re just allegations. So we will continue to push forward.”
