Megan Thee Stallion Rival Milagro Gramz Claims She’s Too Broke to Pay $75K Judgment She Owes Rapper
A judge has ordered Milagro Gramz to hand over the $75,000 she owes Megan Thee Stallion. But the blogger is crying poverty, claiming she doesn’t have the cash she needs to cover the damages she’s on the hook for after a jury found her liable for defamation.
In court documents obtained by TMZ, Gramz (whose real name is Milagro Cooper), said she can’t pay up because she’s a self-employed media commentator with fluctuating income. She also says she’s responsible for providing for two young kids and that she doesn’t have the liquid assets needed to satisfy the judgment. In her filing, she asked the court to hit pause on the payments while she continues to appeal.
Jury agreed that Milagro Gramz worked with Tory Lanez to defame Megan Thee Stallion
Gramz and Megan went to court in Florida last year. The rapper – who was shot by Tory Lanez in 2020 – said Gramz had defamed and harassed her when she spread lies about the shooting, which occurred after a party at Kylie Jenner’s house. Gramz had also shared a sexually explicit AI deepfake video of Megan with her 100,000+ social media followers.
Megan had accused Cooper of being a “mouthpiece” and a “puppet” for Lanez. At trial, her lawyers presented evidence that Lanez (real name: Daystar Peterson) and his father, Sonstar Peterson, had paid Gramz to slander Megan with the goal of helping Lanez’s criminal defence. Lanez was ultimately found guilty in the shooting and is serving a 10-year sentence in a California state prison.
While the jury awarded Megan $75K, a judge reduced the amount to $59K because Gramz was a “media defendant.” However, the judge eventually revised her ruling because of the collaboration between Gramz and the Petersons, noted Bossip.
