Who Are the Mothers of Rapper Future’s 8 Children?
Future’s name has been in the news over the years for more than his music. The rapper‘s personal life has made headlines plenty of times for his public spats with former partners, their breakups, and paternity suits.
Currently, Future, whose real name is Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn, has eight kids with eight different women. Here’s what we know about them.
Son Jakobi with Jessica Smith
Jessica Smith is Future’s ex and the mother of his eldest child, Jakobi, who was born in 2002.
For years, Smith tried to remain out of the public eye, but some of her issues with Jakobi’s father became news in 2016 when she sued him for child support.
Their son has followed in his dad’s career path, releasing several singles under the name King Kobi. He has also had a few run-ins with the law, including in March 2020 after he was arrested for possession of a gun with an altered ID.
Daughter Londyn with India J
Future and India “J” Jones dated from 2007 to 2010. They welcomed their daughter, Londyn, in 2009.
While Londyn has made plenty of red carpet appearances with her dad, including at the 2017 BET Awards, the 2023 Grammys, and Future’s FreeWishes charity events in Atlanta, India J stays out of the limelight.
Many believe they have a solid co-parenting relationship though as Future always gives her a special shoutout on Mother’s Day.
Son Prince with Brittni Mealy
Future and Mealy dated on and off starting in 2010. Their son, Prince, arrived in December 2013.
Mealy is a Detroit native and an entrepreneur. She wears many hats, including a content creator, author of the book Unicorn University, and CEO of her online businesses.
She and her baby daddy have had plenty of public drama over the years. Mealey has also accused Future of not paying child support.
Son Future Zahir with Ciara
The hip-hop artist and singer Ciara started dating in 2012. Future was even featured in her music video for “Body Party.”
They got engaged and welcomed their son, Future Zahir Wilburn, in 2014. But a few months later, Ciara broke off their engagement.
Following their split, the R&B star went on to marry former NFL quarterback Russell Wilson, with whom she has three other children: Sienna, Win, and Amora.
Son Hendrix with Joie Chavis
Future also fathered a child with Joie Chavis. She is a former backup dancer for Janelle Monáe and Tank as well as a social media influencer. According to her Instagram bio, Chavis is also the CEO/ founder of her health and wellness company Joie in Life.
It’s not known exactly how long they dated, but Future was present at Chavis’ baby shower a month before their son, Hendrix, was born in December 2018. The rapper was spotted at Hendrix’s 1st birthday as well, and has reportedly maintained a successful co-parenting relationship with Chavis.
Chavis has two other children. She shares her oldest daughter, Shai Moss, with rapper/actor Bow Wow, and in 2024, welcomed another daughter with NFL player Trevon Diggs.
Daughter Reign with Eliza Reign
Eliza Reign and Future have been in an on-again, off-again relationship that started back in 2016.
She hails from Florida and works as a realtor in the Sunshine State. Eliza is best known for her time on the VH1 series Love & Hip Hop: Miami.
Eliza gave birth to a daughter in April 2019. A paternity test in 2020 confirmed that the hip-hop artist was indeed the child’s father.
Future also has two additional children, a son, Kash, and a daughter, Paris, with partners who have managed to keep their identities completely private.
