Bam Adebayo and A’ja Wilson have become basketball’s power couple.
There had been some chatter about the two for a few years, but the romance rumors really amped up during the 2024 Paris Olympics. And even though the NBA player and WNBA player attended the same events and were photographed out on date nights, they still hadn’t confirmed their romance.
However, in February 2025, Wilson publicly thanked Adebayo, calling him her “favorite Olympian from out of town,” during a ceremony to retire her South Carolina Gamecocks jersey number.
Since then, the Miami Heat star and Las Vegas Aces star have gushed about their relationship on numerous occasions, with Adebayo telling TIME, “The best thing about our relationship [is] we started out as great friends. We didn’t just jump to, ‘Hey, what’s up? You and I will make a great thing.’ Nah, we really eased into this.”
While Wilson shared with Vogue, “I’m in love. I also have to credit Bam because he loves me properly. I think that doesn’t get talked about a lot. He loves me on my days where I don’t know if I love myself, and he does it in a way that’s not love-bombing. It’s more, ‘What do you need?'”
