50 Cent Has One Blunt Condition for Inviting Kanye West to His Wedding
50 Cent’s long list of feuds does not appear to be shrinking, especially after he recently took a playful jab at Kanye West. The rapper joked that he would invite Ye to his hypothetical wedding under one condition.
According to OK!, the rapper recently made an appearance on Today and gave his fans much content about his longtime feud with West and Jay-Z. The rapper was asked about his plans to get married. The question came months after he performed at NBA star Tyrese Haliburton’s nuptials.
The In Da Club rapper clarified that marriage was not on the table for him. He also had his own reasons for his decision, inspired by his industry colleagues’ failed marriages. He said, “Listen, the most successful people that I know, when you ask them where they took their biggest losses, it’s in one column: married and divorce.” “Not looking forward to it,” the rapper sternly clarified.
However, the show’s hosts appeared to remain fixated on 50 Cent’s hypothetical wedding. He soon hopped onto the imaginary train, but in his own way. The rapper brought up his decades-long rivals to take a funny jab at them.
When questioned who would perform the ceremony, he jokingly replied, “Jay-Z’s gonna do my wedding.” The singer then attempted to throw shade on West, saying, “And Kanye too, I’ll have him if he is not banned at the time.” He referred to the Donda rapper’s many controversial moments from the past few years that also prevented him from performing on several occasions.
50 Cent and Ye’s feud dates back to more than a decade ago when they released their album on the same day in 2007. The competition between the two created one of the most memorable chart battles in the history of hip-hop. While the 51-year-old lost the public battle, he did not give up on dissing his fellow rapper.
According to Billboard, the Candy Shop crooner recently took a jab at Ye’s political alignment. He threw some shade on Nicki Minaj as well during his appearance at Moses the Black premiere. The rapper announced, “There’s two things they tell you to stay away from. They tell you to stay away from religion and stay away from politics, because no matter what you think, someone passionately disagrees with you.”
He further explained why he stayed away from politics and religion, citing examples of West and Minaj. “That’s how Kanye f—– up. Then, Nicki said some s—. You know, it feels crazy, but it is very accurate.” 50 Cent referred to both Ye and Minaj receiving massive backlash for publicly supporting Trump.
On the other hand, he has also had a long-running dispute with Jay-Z, as it dates back to 1999. It was the time when 50 Cent released his track How to Rob. He famously targeted the Empire State of Mind rapper, saying that his high album sales gave him “something to live for.”
Meanwhile, 50 Cent is all set to star in the live-action version of Street Fighter. He is playing the role of Balrog in the Kitao Sakurai-directed version. The movie also stars Noah Centineo, Jason Momoa, Roman Reigns, Callina Liang, and Vidyut Jammwal, among others.
