Miley Cyrus is known for her multiple talents. Besides her musical career, she made her place in fans’ hearts with her acting in Hannah Montana. However, at 33 and after losing her godmother, Dolly Parton, the singer is standing at a crossroads, deciding what she wants for herself next.

Cyrus was catapulted to fame early in her life, when she was only a teenager. She achieved a lot of success throughout her career, including a huge fanbase that supports her. However, according to the Daily Mail, an insider revealed that the Flowers crooner does not know where she wants her career to head.

“She’s struggling with what comes next,” the insider claimed. They continued to share that the singer is “at a point in her life where she’s really trying to figure out who she is.” The 33-year-old does not want her celebrity status to define her. Instead, she wants to rise above that.

Cyrus is reportedly disappointed with where she stands at the moment, despite her two sold-out Hollywood Bowl shows. “Her new music hasn’t really taken off the way she wanted,” the source revealed. Her latest studio album, Bass Persuades, appears not to have satisfied Cyrus. Therefore, the source claimed that she is planning to give another shot at acting.

The source revealed that Cyrus has her own reason behind getting back to acting. “She wants the opportunity to show people there’s more to her than the Miley Cyrus persona they’ve known for years,” the insider claimed. However, she is not getting the response from the industry that she is looking for.

The Party In The U.S.A. singer wants a more serious role for herself, whether it is in movies or TV projects. She wants to show a different side of herself. The source highlighted Cyrus’ popularity, saying, “She’s still incredibly recognizable and has a built-in audience, but she seems to be at a standstill when it comes to expanding her career.”

Despite the massive fame, Cyrus wants people to see her emerge as an actor and not from her past. “She wants to build something meaningful that lasts,” the insider said. Meanwhile, she is figuring out whether her fans will give her a chance to do so or not.

Besides acting, Cyrus is not willing to bring her musical performances to different cities. She committed to full sobriety in 2020 and has been vocal about her struggles with alcohol, especially when on tour. According to ABC, she confirmed that she could not maintain her sober status while on the road.

At the time, Cyrus revealed that she had the “physical ability” and “opportunities” to tour. However, what she lacks is the desire to tour. “I also don’t think that there is actually an infrastructure that supports artists,” she shared.

Cyrus soon shared the real challenge that she faces on tour: sobriety. “It’s really hard to maintain sobriety when you’re on the road, which is a really important, kind of pillar of stability in my life,” the singer confessed. She also expressed her concerns about her mental health while touring.

The We Can’t Stop singer explained that thousands of people cheering for an artist can have a different impact on them. Especially when the show is over and “one person loving you is not enough. It needs to be 10,000; it needs to be 80,000.”
