New ‘RHOBH’ Star Leah Remini Teases ‘Calm Before the Storm’ at Sutton Stracke’s Birthday Bash

Leah Remini hasn’t yet made her debut on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. But she’s already hinting at some fireworks ahead in season 16. 

Leah Remini prepares for ‘RHOBH’ debut 

The King of Queens alum recently took to Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes snap of her getting ready for a RHOBH filming session. 

“The calm before the storm that was [Sutton Stracke’s] birthday,” she wrote, adding a rolling on the floor laughing emoji for emphasis. She also posted a photo of herself in full glam with Denise Richards and Jennifer Tilly. 

“What storm…I see no storm,” fellow RHOBH newbie Tracy Tutor commented. 

Sutton turned 55 on September 20, and RHOBH cameras were there to capture the birthday celebration. Exactly what went down isn’t clear, but Leah’s comments suggest that there was plenty of drama. That’s likely music to Bravo’s ears, as the network brought in RHOBH’s two newest cast members in the hopes of shaking up the show, which some fans felt was growing stale in recent seasons. 

Leah comes to Bravo after a successful career as an actress. More recently, she’s made headlines for her Emmy-winning series Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath. And if she can hold her own against the Church of Scientology, she can surely handle an RHOBH reunion without batting an eyelash. 

Meanwhile, Tracy is making the leap from Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles to RHOBH. She’s familiar with the Bravoverse and already has a feud with her co-star Dorit Kemsley. 

Sutton Stracke is ‘obsessed’ with Leah Remini 

In addition to Leah, Tracy, Sutton, and Dorit, full-time Housewives for season 16 include Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, Bozoma Saint John, and Rachel Zoe. Jennifer Tilly and Kathy Hilton will appear as friends of the cast. Season 15 cast member Amanda Frances won’t return. 

Fans will have to wait and see how Leah fits in with the rest of the Beverly Hills ladies. But she already has a fan in Sutton. 

“I am obsessed with her. I think she’s phenomenal. I really like her a lot …She’s an actress, but she’s so real,” Sutton told Page Six‘s Virtual Reali-Tea. “She’s really real, she’s so laid back and cool, and I have just really enjoyed getting to know her.”

A premiere date for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 16 has not been announced. Past seasons are streaming on Peacock.
