Jennifer Lawrence Looks ‘Unrecognizable’ in New Magazine Shoot, Sparks Plastic Surgery Speculation
Jennifer Lawrence is known for her witty humor and nonchalant behavior. The Hunger Games star does not hold back when it comes to opening up in interviews. However, when she posed in fashionable ensembles for a magazine, the internet called her out for allegedly looking “unrecognizable.”
According to her latest interview with The Cut, JLaw posed for various pictures in some dramatic outfits. She wore a gold, backless dress that hugged her figure. In other photos, she donned an oversized brown leather jacket, several dresses, and an asymmetrical top left open on the front.
The magazine shoot caught a lot of attention on the internet, with many Reddit users discussing how Lawrence’s face changed over the years. A user asked, “Why do celebrities feel the need to get work done?” expressing their disappointment with JLaw’s facial expressions. They continued, “In most cases, they become unrecognizable.”
Another user pointed out, “I wouldn’t recognize this woman as Jennifer Lawrence.” “Man, I miss different facial expressions in photoshoots. Why is she doing this face in almost every shot?” a third one noted. Many fans said they were heartbroken to see JLaw looking so different. “It’s subtle but at the same time feels like I’m looking at an impersonator,” a fourth user penned.
In the interview, Lawrence also described the kind of appearance she wanted after becoming a mother of two. She admitted to undergoing cosmetic surgery on her breasts after giving birth for the second time. When asked whether she would have done the same to her body if she weren’t an actress, JLaw gave a blunt reply. She said, “Maybe I wouldn’t be hustling to the appointment in the same way,” before admitting, “But I think yes.”
While she revealed her plans to undergo a facelift, she did not say whether she had already gone under the knife to change her face. “I want to be a sexy mom,” the Silver Linings Playbook star said. She added, “At drop-off, I want to look like a woman that has her s— together even when I’ve just woken up and don’t have my s— together.”
The No Hard Feelings star’s face was analyzed by a plastic surgeon who weighed in to reveal what procedures she may have undergone. According to the Daily Mail, Dr. Melinda Lacerna Kimbrell said JLaw appeared to have had most of her work done around her eyes. “There is substantially more upper-lid visibility, less hooding and elevation of the outer brow,” the expert suggested.
Kimbrell continued to analyze, saying, “That pattern strongly suggests an upper blepharoplasty.” She added that it was “possibly combined with a brow lift and a lateral eye lift.” The specialist confirmed that she had never treated Lawrence. However, after performing more than 1,000 facelifts, she claimed that the actress may have opted for “selective fat grafting around the lower eyelid and upper cheek.” However, she observed that the area below her cheekbones appeared to be hollow.
The plastic surgeon did not confirm that Lawrence had to go under the knife for the change in her appearance. She noted that these possible treatments could have been non-surgical. Moreover, her weight loss may have helped in her rather chiselled physique.
