Kylie Jenner is facing backlash again, and this time, Kris Jenner joined her. The mother-daughter duo often flaunts their lavish lifestyle online. When they recently showed off their Birkin bags, estimated to be worth $135,000 combined, they faced backlash.

Jenner recently took to her YouTube handle to share a light-hearted challenge with her mother. In the video, titled What’s in my Birkin?, the 29-year-old sat down with Kris to reveal everything they carry in their luxurious bag. She also pulled off a prank on the momager and stole several items from her $20 million Hidden Hills mansion. 

During the segment, the beauty mogul pulled out a green apple, a bedazzled lighter, a Jesus figurine, and a massager, among several other things. Kris did not take much time to realize that her eldest daughter snuck into her house to get various trinkets. 

The 70-year-old also gave everyone a glimpse of everything she had in her bag, most of it from her daughters’ brands. She pulled a huge 818 liquor bottle along with some tiny ones. She also pulled out Kylie’s perfume, candy, makeup, and a black airhorn. 

Jenner’s YouTube viewers appeared to enjoy the segment featuring their expensive Birkin bags. However, several Reddit users took to the platform to slam the Jenners. 

A critic wrote, “Getting mommy to do a YouTube vid with you about what’s in your birkin is not the flex she thinks it is.” Another user penned, “Is flaunting wealth their whole identity? Get a personality outside of what you own!!!!” A third user called their latest move “so out of touch” and “ridiculous.” 

Some Reddit users also took a jab at the duo’s bond. One of them wrote, “How does even their mother-daughter relationship feel fake and performed?” “An alcoholic mother promotes alcoholism with her child who has fetal alcohol syndrome… Sad,” penned another.

According to an Instagram page named Ezy Life, Jenner’s pink-purple Birkin is valued at $70,000. On the other hand, Kris reportedly had a slightly less expensive bag than her daughter. Her caramel brown bag is reportedly priced at $65,000. 

The backlash was no news for Jenner, as she was previously slammed for flaunting her entire Birkin collection. The Kylie Cosmetics founder posed in an all-black ensemble against her collection of bags earlier this year. She wrote, “can’t a girl have fun,” and added a pink bow emoji in the caption. 

According to The Sun, the systematic display of bags in the photo had 32 Birkins. The total estimated value of her Birkin collection was reportedly $1.2 million. One of the most expensive was the Hermès Neige Faubourg Birkin 20 White Matte Alligator Handbag. Also known as the House Birkin, the bag costs $787,500. 

While many were elated to see Jenner’s collection, her lavish lifestyle did not please others. PETA, an animal rights organization, also slammed the millionaire and called her shelf a “graveyard.” They wrote, “That Birkin wall is a graveyard. Clearly your empathy is buried with the bones.”

Another Instagram user wrote, “One row of those bags could end hunger on the East Coast.” “How many homeless could you feed if you sold just half of your handbag collection?” a Reddit user asked. Several others labeled Jenner “tone deaf.”
