Kelly Osbourne’s relationship with her elder sister Aimee Osbourne is basically nonexistent.

“If I’m honest, my older sister didn’t really ever acknowledge me and my brother [Jack Osbourne],” Kelly said during an appearance on the We Need to Talk podcast on September 15.

Kelly, Aimee, and Jack are all the children of rocker Ozzy Osbourne from his marriage to Sharon Osbourne. Kelly and Jack rose to fame by starring alongside their parents in the family’s unscripted series The Osbournes. Aimee declined to participate in the show and has generally kept a lower profile than her younger siblings.

“She was just in her own world doing her own thing,” Kelly shared, adding that she thought Aimee was “embarrassed” by her family.

“I respect her, I accept her, but we’re different, and that’s OK,” Kelly said of her big sis.

“If you’re not going to accept me for who I am, and constantly be trying to change me and say horrible things about me, and truly seem to thrive when I’m not doing well, I don’t want you in my life.

Kelly and Aimee Osbourne have been on different paths since birth

Kelly and Aimee’s distant sibling relationship isn’t a huge surprise if you’re a believer in astrology. These two sisters were on diverging paths from birth, potentially leading to their lack of a bond as adults.

Aimee was born September 2, 1983, the first of Ozzy’s children with Sharon, his second wife. Kelly arrived a little over a year later, on October 27, 1984.

Kelly is a Scorpio, a Fixed Water sign known for intense passion, emotional depth, and fierce loyalty. Aimee is a Virgo, a Mutable Earth sign that values privacy, structure, and independence.

Given her Virgo sun, Aimee’s decision to avoid the spotlight and not participate in The Osbournes makes perfect sense. But her natural Virgo tendency to protect her space and her peace may have seemed to Kelly as a betrayal of the larger family. Kelly’s Scorpio Sun tends to embrace an “all-or-nothing” approach to relationships. If a Scorpio feels betrayed or misunderstood – as Kelly clearly does by her older sister – they may decide to cut ties completely. (During her podcast appearance, Kelly confessed to feeling “resentment” toward her sibling, whom she feels wasn’t a true big sister to her when they were growing up.)

Ozzy Osbourne’s daughters have Moon signs in conflict

The sister’s Moon Signs, which govern their private, inner worlds, emotional responses, and subconscious self, are also in conflict.

Aimee has a Moon in Cancer. Again, this points her toward privacy and emotional safety. Cancer Moons will retreat into their crab shell when they feel threatened or over-stimulated. As a member of an over-the-top rock star family filled with big personalities, Aimee may have withdrawn as a form of protection.

Kelly, on the other hand, has a Moon in Sagittarius. People with this placement tend to be more explosive, blunt, and expressive. Someone with a Sagittarius Moon will speak candidly and process their pain out loud, as we saw with the way Kelly shared her palpable grief over her father’s death with the world. But that outspokenness can be painful for their quieter Moon in Cancer sibling.

With their different astrological charts, Kelly and Aimee take different approaches to self-preservation, especially when faced with the glare of the spotlight. Aimee’s Earth-and-Water disposition (Virgo Sun / Cancer Moon) erects walls as form of protection. Kelly’s Water-and-Fire disposition (Scorpio Sun / Sagittarius Moon) tries to create a sense of safety through confrontation, direct boundary-setting, and definitive cuts. The result is two siblings who struggle to see eye-to-eye.

“I know … we’re very different,” Kelly said. “Everything I am, she’s not. Everything she is, I’m not. Like you couldn’t be more polar opposite. We’re like oil and water.”
