Law Roach Explains Why Tom Holland Calls Zendaya His ‘Wife’ When They Aren’t Married Yet
Several months after claiming that Zendaya and Tom Holland’s wedding already happened, Law Roach is walking back his statement. He said that they will wait to have their ceremony until after the Dune press tour. Despite this, Holland has referred to Zendaya as his wife and hinted that a ceremony already took place. Roach tried to explain this.
Law Roach said Zendaya and Tom Holland got married
At the 2026 SAG Awards, Roach, Zendaya’s longtime stylist, said that the couple was already married.
“The wedding has already happened; you missed it,” he said on the red carpet.
Over the summer, the couple reportedly had a celebration with friends and family at the luxury hotel Beaverbrook in Surrey, England.
“They’ve both been so busy, and this was really the perfect little window for them,” a source told People.
They were reportedly happy to take time out of their busy schedules to celebrate.
“It’s a really exciting time for both of them and you can really see that when you’re around them,” the source said.
Law Roach later said that Zendaya and Tom Holland have not yet gotten married
Roach shocked people when he claimed the wedding already took place. He walked back these remarks at the Emmy Awards.
“Well, I actually lied, she wasn’t married,” he said, per People. “They actually haven’t had an official ceremony yet. It’s gonna happen after the Dune press tour.”
He reaffirmed this when asked if he was serious this time.
“No, the wedding hasn’t happened,” said Roach. “Not yet.”
Despite this, he then said that he could be “lying” again. Holland has referred to Zendaya as his “wife” in recent months, which seemed to confirm Roach’s previous remarks. He explained this.
“I mean, she’s been his ‘wife’ for a really long time now, but it’s not official yet,” he said.
He spoke highly of their relationship
Holland and Zendaya first met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming and went public with their relationship in 2021. He said that she has been a rock for her in a difficult industry.
“Our business can present very stressful situations and it’s really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time,” he told Esquire. “We can support each other in ways that only we can, because only we understand really what it’s like to live this life, and I think that is such a luxury, because I just don’t understand how I would be able to have anything like that with anyone else.”
Holland added that he’s the happiest he’s ever been when he’s with her.
“So, for me, I found my person,” he said. “She’s my best friend, and I’m the happiest I have ever been when I’m with her, but I have also never felt so supported and safe, ever. Period.”
