The ‘Honeymoon Phase’ Between Zendaya and Tom Holland Never Ended, Said Body Language Expert
Zendaya and Tom Holland have been together for years. The couple tied the knot this year and celebrated their nuptials at a larger party in England over the summer. A body language expert shared why their relationship appears to work so well.
Zendaya and Tom Holland work well together, said body language expert
Zendaya and Holland met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016. In 2021, they confirmed they were in a relationship after years of rumors. They became engaged in 2025 and tied the knot in 2026. Body language expert Darren Stanton with Betfair Casino explained that the couple has become “symmetrical” in their years together. He believes that this is why the relationship works well.
“We can see that they’ve got mutual respect, mutual rapport. So often with relationships, especially celebrity relationships, there’s a mismatch in the dynamic, whether that’s about power or the way that either person wants to be perceived,” he explained. “But with these two, it’s very symmetrical. There’s no one person that’s constantly displaying more power than the other. What I really like about these two is that everything is very symmetrical. The rapport is equal, the bond is equal, and that reciprocal liking is really consistent between them.”
He believes that they don’t put on a show for cameras. They present themselves as they truly are, even though they don’t talk much about their relationship.
“Another thing I really like about them is their authenticity. It doesn’t matter where they are, whether they’re at some other big red carpet event, or just chilling together. They seem to be themselves,” he said, adding, “They don’t suddenly stop showing affection, talking to each other, or being playful and mischievous just because there are cameras around. They very much operate within their own little bubble, and I think that’s really telling of how close they are.”
He believes they are still in their honeymoon phase
The couple has been together for years. Despite this, Stanton believes that they are still happily in their honeymoon period.
“A lot of relationships, particularly celebrity relationships, can have that six-month or year-long honeymoon period, and then things start to settle and the dynamic can go slightly off skew,” he said. “But with these two, they seem to be consistently obsessed with each other — that honeymoon phase never ended. It’s also not one person that’s more invested than the other. It’s very balanced.”
As a result, Stanton sees the couple lasting a long time.
“So you’ve got that balance of power, but also a really balanced level of reciprocal liking and affection. And when you put all those things together — the mirroring, the tactile behaviour, the protection, the eye contact and, most importantly, the consistency — I think this relationship has most definitely got longevity.’
Zendaya and Tom Holland married earlier this year
Holland and Zendaya secretly wed in a small ceremony early this year. This only became news after the wedding happened, and they still haven’t shared details of their big day. Several months later, they had a celebration with their friends and family at the luxury hotel Beaverbrook in Surrey, England.
“They’ve both been so busy, and this was really the perfect little window for them,” the source told People.
The source added that this has been a joyous and exciting period for the couple.
“It’s a really exciting time for both of them and you can really see that when you’re around them,” the source said.
