Raye Is ‘Regretful’ That She Isn’t Dating Michael B. Jordan, Said Body Language Expert
After photos surfaced of Raye and Michael B. Jordan on a roller coaster together, people began to wonder if they were a new couple. At the MTV Video Music Awards, Raye said that she and Jordan were just friends. According to a body language expert, though, she wasn’t exactly happy about this.
Raye appeared to be keeping her project with Michael B. Jordan secret
On the red carpet, Raye received a question about an upcoming mystery project that she is doing with Jordan. Body language expert Inbaal Honigman with Casino.ca said that the singer seemed taken aback by the question.
“When Alyssa Killian asks Raye on the red carpet what her project with Michael B. Jordan is, Raye has to pause for a moment, her flow of chat disrupted,” she said. “Raye’s mouth opens into an ‘O’ shape, which signifies shock, and her eyes and eyebrows travel upwards, indicating that she’s got to think of something fast, because she’s not planning to tell the truth.”
Honigman noted that Raye seemed uncomfortable with having to keep a secret.
“When Raye then says she’s not allowed to talk about it, she’s seen glancing from side to side, as if searching for an escape route,” she said. “The impression is that Raye has to keep a secret, but that is not a skill that comes easily to her.”

Honigman believes that Raye’s response to the question about her project with Jordan indicated that she isn’t a good liar.
“She’s evidently not a good liar,” she said. “Which is important to keep in mind when she says that they’re not dating.”
When Raye received a question about her personal relationship with Jordan, she answered vaguely. Still, Honigman believed that she showed signs of distress.
“Raye says ‘we’re just friends who like rollercoasters’, and in light of her apparent inability to lie, this may well be the truth,” she said. “Importantly though, when she says that, she puckers her chin in a way of apology, hating to disappoint the fans, and then she glances downwards, which is a mark of sadness and regret.”
She believes that Raye seems to want something more than friendship with Jordan.
“The two may not be dating right now, but Raye is not happy about that,” Honigman said. “She’s regretful that she’s ‘just friends’ with Michael B. Jordan.”
