For most 10-year-olds, a big party consists of a friend’s birthday bash. For Kyle Richards, it meant hanging out with one of the most famous names in 20th century American art: Andy Warhol.

Recently, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star took to Instagram to reminisce about her childhood.

“Every now and then I’ll tell my girls a story and they always say ‘why didn’t we know this?!’ I definitely didn’t have a traditional upbringing,” she wrote in the June 2 post, which featured a slideshow of black-and-white photos of her and her family at a dinner with Warhol.

“But it was colorful and exciting! And while I didn’t realize it at the time, it was quite unique. Not having my parents around anymore, I have questions that will go unanswered and photos that I will never find. I was happy to see these today on @poparttrio Just a 10 year old partying in NYC with Andy Warhol and my family,” she continued.

For Richards, the photos are a glimpse at more “carefree” times with her sisters, Kim Richards and Kathy Hilton, as well as Kathy’s husband Rick Hilton.

“They’ve been together since I was 5 years old and they were married when I was 10,” Kyle shared. “They’re kids themselves here! I remember Andy Warhol carried a tiny Pentax camera and would just click the button without looking through the lens which intrigued me. I believe that’s what that close up photo of me is.”

‘RHOBH’ star worked with Bette Davis

Warhol wasn’t the only famous face a pint-sized Kyle was hobnobbing with. Another post from the Pop Art Trio Instagram account features a series of photos taken in April 1980 at New York City’s famous Tavern on The Green restaurant. The occasion was a party celebrating screen icon Bette Davis and her 50th year in movies. The Oscar-winner had recently appeared onscreen in what would be one of her final film roles, the supernatural Disney live action film The Watcher In the Woods. A young Kyle also starred in the movie. At the time, she didn’t appreciate that she was working alongside a Hollywood legend.

“[My mom] was a movie buff and she said to me, ‘You’re working with one of the biggest movie stars of all-time’ and I was like whatever. I didn’t get it!” Kyle recalled in a 2013 interview with CBS Philadelphia. “And she would try to teach me and tell me stories and she would read my books about old Hollywood and try to get through my head of how big of a deal it was but I really did not get or appreciate it until way later and now I’m like, ‘Wow, I got to work with some of the biggest film and TV stars of our time’ and I really appreciate it as an adult.”
