Prince Harry wants to fix things with the royal family, but Piers Morgan thinks an apology should come first. “These two, all the work that they want to do in a good way, is to line their own pockets. They’ve made themselves very wealthy by trashing their family,” Morgan said on Fox & Friends on Wednesday, October 21.

According to the Daily Express, the Piers Morgan Uncensored presenter made his thoughts on an apology clear. “The one word he’s never said is sorry. If we want to really see reconciliation, let’s see Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle on bended knee grovelling for an apology,” he added.

Harry discussed his family troubles in a video interview with GQ. The magazine published the conversation on October 20 after recording it in New York in late September. During the interview, Harry spoke about wanting to repair his relationship with his father, King Charles, and older brother, Prince William.

“And some people don’t want it to work out. I want it to work out,” Harry said. The Duke added that “the most important thing is to reconcile.” He stated, “Look, scars stick around forever, but what your perception is and what your mindset is to those things that have happened, certainly letting go of the past, that’s something that I would encourage everybody to do.”

Harry then continued, “But yeah, for me, there’s enough drama in the world and enough drama in people’s lives than to continue with issues with family.” His comments led to questions about whether he was referring to William. However, a spokesperson for the Sussexes denied that interpretation.

“It was absolutely not intended as a swipe at his brother or any other member of his family. The comment was made in a general context and was not directed at his family in any way,” they said. The interview also came out as Charles, Queen Camilla, William, and Kate Middleton welcomed Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman to Windsor on October 20.

Meanwhile, William reportedly remains hurt by his younger brother’s public comments. According to The Mirror, sources close to William said, “There isn’t a world right now where the Prince of Wales can imagine repairing the relationship with his brother. He remains deeply hurt over the many things the Duke of Sussex has said publicly about him and other family members.”

The brothers’ relationship has been strained since Harry and Markle stepped back from royal duties in 2020. Things became more tense after Harry released his memoir, Spare, in January 2023. In the book, Harry claimed William knocked him to the floor during an argument and broke a dog bowl.

However, Harry has stayed in touch with Charles, who revealed his cancer diagnosis in February 2024. In July 2026, Harry, Markle, and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, met Charles and Camilla at Highgrove House. It was the first time Charles had seen his grandchildren in person since 2022.
