‘Small-Town Trouble Texas’: Meet the Cast of Bravo’s Answer to ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’
Bravo’s new stars are no strangers to big-time drama.
On Thursday, the network announced a premiere date for its newest unscripted series. Small-Town Trouble Texas follows a charming yet unconventional group of women and their husbands who live in Boerne, Texas, a “Hallmark town” about 30 miles outside of San Antonio. The show follows along as the town’s conservative values “collide with forbidden attraction, messy friendships, and shocking secrets.”
“Here, perception is everything, temptation is everywhere, and the truth is never as buttoned-up as it looks,” Bravo says in its description of the new show, which debuts Wednesday, November 18 with a 2-hour season premiere.
“You would be surprised how many women are married with traditional families but also sleeping with women,” one cast member says in the teaser for the show.
Meet the ‘Small-Town Trouble Texas’ cast
Originally announced with the working title Secrets, Lies, Texas Wives, the unscripted series is Bravo’s answer to Hulu’s hit The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, which focuses on the eyebrow-raising activities of a group of women in conservative Salt Lake City.
So, who are the new wives poised to take reality TV by storm? Let’s meet the cast of Small-Town Trouble Texas.
Hailey Head: Wealthy, glamorous, and full of personality, Hailey is just beginning to explore life outside the home she shares with her longtime partner, Josh Marsalis, and their two kids. Spunky and unapologetically herself, Hailey is ready to have some fun, even as Josh keeps a close eye on her social life. As one of the few in the group navigating a longtime partnership without a marriage certificate, Hailey brings her own perspective on love, family, and relationships.
Annari Uys: After breaking away from an ultra-religious upbringing in apartheid-era South Africa, Annari is embracing what she calls the Big Defrost while raising three sons with her husband, Duan Uys. Now a free spirit with a growing connection to a close friend, she’s pulled into the group’s emotional and romantic center.
Aaryn Williams: The Polarizing and magnetic Aaryn is often at the center of the drama. A content creator who was publicly outed as bisexual, she’s built a new life on her own terms with her supportive husband, Nick Williams, and four homeschooled daughters. Having openly reckoned with her complicated past, Aaryn is focused on personal growth, owning her mistakes, and becoming a better version of herself.
Gabby Hernandez Huffman: San Antonio-born and raised as a preacher’s daughter, Gabby is unpacking a repressed evangelical past while boldly exploring who and what she wants. She met her husband Jordan Huffman on a sugar-dating site, and what began as an unconventional arrangement ultimately turned into marriage. Today, Gabby and her husband are raising a beautiful little girl and continue to play by their own rules.
Alli McAnelly: Ali is a third-generation local with rodeo grit, platinum small-town status, and firmly traditional views in her own marriage with Blake McAnelly. She’s also in a state of self-discovery as she steps away from her career to spend more time with her three kids. Alli knows everyone, hears everything, and stays unfazed when the group drama comes her way as the self-appointed Queen of Boerne.
Small-Town Trouble Texas premieres Wednesday, November 18 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. Streaming next day on Peacock.
