‘Summer House’ Star Ciara Miller Follows in Footsteps of Scandoval Survivor Ariana Madix With New ‘Love Island’ Gig
Summer House star Ciara Miller has a new gig.
Ciara and Tefi Pessoa are set to co-host the upcoming season of the Love Island USA companion series Aftersun, Peacock announced earlier this week.
Ciara Miller to co-host ‘Love Island: Aftersun’ after ‘Summer House’ scandal
Ciara follows fellow Bravo alum Ariana Madix in becoming part of the Love Island universe. The Vanderpump Rules star has hosted the Peacock dating series since 2023. And like Ariana, who helmed her first season of Love Island in the wake of Scandoval, Ciara is embarking on her hosting duties as she deals with the fallout from a massive betrayal.
In recent weeks, Ciara has been caught up in Summer House’s biggest scandal yet: a secret romance between co-stars Amanda Batula and West Wilson.
Ciara and West dated a few years ago, and – as seen in a recent season 10 episode – may have been on the verge of rekindling their relationship. So, when Ciara learned that her former BFF Amanda had gotten involved with West, she was understandably upset. In leaked audio from the Summer House reunion, she called Amanda a “snake.” And in a recent interview with Glamour, she elaborated on how the situation made her feel.
“It’s one thing to experience hurt behind closed doors,” she said. “To experience it so publicly is like another layer, and then to have to see what you thought was your life still play out in season 10. It’s a major mind f*ck.”
“At the end of the day, a guy’s a guy,” she added when reflecting on her ex’s role in the drama. “Whether or not West and I are working on a relationship, you can’t just put anything past a man. But I just never would think that it would come from someone like Amanda, who has felt like in my circle and in my corner for so long. I think that’s the craziest part.”
Ariana Madix says there are ‘some similarities’ between her and Ciara
Ariana knows a thing or two about being at the center of a public betrayal thanks to her ex Tom Sandoval affair with co-star Rachel Leviss. She recently weighed in on the Summer House drama.
“I think there’s some similarities,” she told Andy Cohen during a May 12 appearance on Watch What Happens Live. “I think there’s a lot of differences as well, obviously.”
“When we started putting out the teasers for the Sonic commercials that Ciara and I have done together, people were saying, ‘Yeah, but it’s not the same,’” she continued, referring to an ad that showed the two women taking a “refreshingly chill” approach to their reality TV drama. “Like, it doesn’t have to be the same. It doesn’t have to.”
The new season of Love Island: USA premieres Tuesday, June 2 at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET on Peacock.
