Meryl Streep doesn’t think Travis Kelce could wear heels while walking along the streets of Milan. In a promo clip for The Devil Wears Prada 2, Streep challenged the Kansas City Chiefs star when it came to the task.

“The hardest thing about shooting in Milan was walking in stilettos on the cobblestones — I’d like to see Travis Kelce do that,” she said, according to E! News.

In an April 29 episode of Travis and Jason Kelce’s podcast, New Heights, Jason approached Travis about the subject. “Travis,” Jason said, “do we have beef with Meryl Streep?”

Travis, unaware of Streep’s comments, didn’t know what Jason was referring to at first. “I hope she doesn’t have beef with me,” he answered. “I’m a fan of Meryl Streep, I don’t have any beef with her.”

Jason then showed Travis the clip. Travis was both shocked and amused to see the callout for himself.

“Oh, Meryl, you have no idea how good I am at walking in heels, OK?” the Chiefs tight end said.

“I think we should recreate this,” Jason offered. “I think we should put this to the test — not recreate.”

“We’re going to have to find some size 14 heels first,” Travis added.

The brothers then spoke about what technically qualifies as a heel. Travis asked whether his Chelsea boots would do the job, but Jason clarified that a stiletto has a pointed heel, making it a more difficult shoe to walk in.

“I’ll give credit where credit’s due,” Travis said. “I don’t think I can do it, Meryl. I’ll let you have that. … I just don’t think I’m going to make it to Italy and walk in stilettos. Meryl has quite the resume.”

The Devil Wears Prada 2 hits theaters on May 1, 2026.
