Teresa Giudice has gotten her way; she’s returning for another season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey after her family drama led to a pause that stretched on for more than a year. Now that the trimmed cast is back to filming, Teresa Giudice’s family drama is threatening to unravel things again. This time, the trouble has nothing to do with Teresa’s beef with the Gorgas. Her daughter Milania’s arrest could be the tipping point this time.

Milania was arrested in May, as the show returned to filming

Milania Giudice, the 20-year-old daughter of Teresa and her ex-husband Joe Giudice, was arrested on May 14 following an incident at a residence in Montville Township, New Jersey. Police charged her with one count of simple assault via summons complaint, and she was released pending a future court appearance. According to police reports, the college student allegedly struck a victim identified only by the initials “L.R.” in the head with her fist, causing redness to the victim’s forehead. She threw food and candles during the melee, too. Milania’s stepfather, Luis Ruelas, and his son both share those initials, though the victim’s identity hasn’t been officially confirmed.

Milania later appeared in court via Zoom on July 14 and pleaded not guilty. She’s since addressed the situation publicly herself. In a TikTok video posted in late June, Milania acknowledged the incident while pushing back on public speculation, saying she’d been struggling personally at the time and that people didn’t know everything going on in her life. Still, she doesn’t seem to be taking the situation particularly seriously, telling her fans that she “ate down” in her real mugshot.

Could it appear on the show?

Despite the arrest becoming a major tabloid story, sources say the moment itself wasn’t caught on camera, and that Teresa is reluctant to allow the fallout to be filmed. One insider said production didn’t capture the actual incident, though it’s since become a topic of conversation among the cast. It’s unclear what, if anything, Bravo will do with the situation, though Milania has been spotted filming with her family since Bravo cameras swooped back in.

Reality Blurb alleges insiders claim Teresa is resistant to discussing Milania’s legal trouble as part of the show’s storylines this season. She has yet to address the problem publicly, and it appears as though she’d prefer to keep things quiet. It’s unclear what is motivating her to do so. Fans think she’s trying to protect Milania, who has made it clear she’s not having an easy go of it lately. Critics worry that Teresa is resistant to discussing the arrest out of fear it will uncover a deeper issue within her blended family. Luis Ruelas has never been a fan favorite; any information that might suggest Milania’s behavior was justified could spell doom for the series.

It looks like we’ll just need to wait and see if it becomes a storyline on the show. Milania is currently navigating her court case, but that will likely be resolved before we see a new episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. While Bravo has not announced a premiere date, fans suspect they’ll reconnect with the Jersey ladies sometime toward the end of the year.
