Yo-Yo reconnected with an old friend in the latest episode of Downright Delicious With Yo-Yo

In the August 13 episode of the aspireTV series, the rapper welcomed comedian Cookie Hull into her kitchen, where they whip up a classic Mexican comfort meal: enchiladas stuffed with succulent marinated shredded chicken and decadent blend of melted cheese and paired with a delicious frozen margarita. But before breaking out their pans and knives, the pair reminisced about how they first got to know each other.

“I am comedian Cookie Hull. I’ve been on a lot of major tours with a lot of major people,” Hull said by way of introduction.

“Over 25 years,” Yo-Yo chimes in. “I was just meeting you. I was just meeting you when you started your career.”

The Snoop Dogg Presents: The Bad Girls of Comedy alum recalled that she’d “done a big show” where she and Yo-Yo were introduced. The stand-up artist immediately knew she wanted to work with the up-and-coming hip-hop performer.

“After that show, we just clicked and became good friends,” she said.

Downright Delicious with Yo-Yo airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on aspireTV.
