Caitriona Balfe

Caitriona Balfe is best known for her role as Claire Fraser on the Starz historical drama Outlander.

The Irish actor studied drama at the Dublin Institute of Technology. She began her career as a model after being spotted by a talent scout. The young model worked for many high-profile fashion shows and was one of the top models around the world. 

Balfe crossed into acting and was cast in a small role in 2006’s The Devil Wears Prada. She went on to have several film roles in Super 8, Crush, Now You See Me, Ford v Ferrari, and Belfast, among others. She also appeared on a few TV shows, including doing some voice work. 

Balfe has been nominated for and won several awards, namely for her role on Outlander. She has three Saturn Awards and two People’s Choice Awards, among others.
