Meghan Markle’s Father Is Launching a YouTube Channel to Talk About His Daughter and Prince Harry

Since before her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018, some of Meghan Markle’s family members have spoken publicly about her. One such person is her father, Thomas Markle, who has given interviews to share his thoughts on Meghan and Harry.

Recently, Markle revealed that he would launch a YouTube channel to talk more openly about his daughter.

Thomas Markle has criticized Meghan Markle and Prince Harry

Although Markle did not attend Meghan and Harry’s wedding, he has been very vocal about his feelings concerning their relationship. 

For example, in October 2021, he appeared on Good Morning Britain and said, “I’ve made it quite clear that until I hear from her, until she does speak to me, that I will continue to do [interviews] … She thought I was giving too much attention to her stepbrother and stepsister, but nonetheless she wanted me to stop talking to them and I couldn’t.”

A month later, after Meghan appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Markle spoke to news outlets to criticize his daughter. He also accused Meghan of fibbing about some stories from the early days of her acting career.

Thomas Markle is launching a YouTube channel

It seems Markle is not going away anytime soon. The 77-year-old recently shared (via Mirror) that he and close friend Karl Larsen are starting a YouTube channel to talk about Meghan and Harry.

“We have discovered YouTube,” Markle said. “We’ve decided to join and share our story.”

Larsen also added, “Tom wants to do it to put his thoughts out there from the horse’s mouth. He wants to speak about how Meghan and Harry have affected his family. The chat will be no-holds-barred. He wants his truth to be out there, just like Meghan’s truth came out a year ago in her Oprah Winfrey interview. He also wants to speak about other things in the news, too.”

This announcement came after Meghan’s half-sister, Samantha Markle, began suing the Duchess of Sussex. According to Samantha, Meghan told lies about her in the Oprah interview and the book Finding Freedom.

“I’m standing up for my oldest daughter, Samantha,” Markle said. “In this case, she should win because Meghan’s book was full of lies about her. I would appear in a deposition in this case, if it came to it.”

The pair’s first video can be found on their channel Remarkable Friendship.

Meghan Markle has accused Thomas Markle of betraying her

Meghan has largely remained quiet about Markle and his statements to the press. However, she did briefly talk about it during the Oprah interview. 

According to Meghan, her father made her feel “betrayed” by talking to the press before her wedding and lying to her about it. Meghan also alleged that she tried to work with her dad to kill any tabloid stories that would come out about him, but he would not cooperate.

“I look at Archie. I think about this child, and I genuinely can’t imagine doing anything to intentionally cause pain to my child. I can’t imagine it,” Meghan explained. “So it’s hard for me to reconcile that.”
