‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’: PK Kemsley’s Travel Schedule and Drinking Alleged Led to Split from Dorit Kemsley

Dorit Kemsley and PK Kemsley announced their separation in early May, just before Dorit returned to the set of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. It appears that the separation will play out in the upcoming season. While the new season will likely shed some light on their marriage woes, an insider is speaking out to share what they know. Reportedly, PK’s schedule and drinking ultimately led to the couple pausing their romance. Dorit has addressed those very issues in previous seasons of the show and during interviews, as well. 

Dorit and PK Kemsley reportedly split up due to his drinking and travel schedule 

An insider who spoke with In Touch claims the couple has been having serious problems for a long time. They said PK and Dorit had been essentially living separate lives before the split announcement. The source, who was not named, said that PK’s travel schedule played a large role in the couple’s decision to separate. The talent manager spends a fair bit of time on the road, which left Dorit home alone with the two children they share. 

PK Kemsley’s travel schedule wasn’t the only problem in the marriage. The source also pointed to PK’s heavy drinking as a point of tension in the marriage despite his recent efforts to cut back. The insider claims Dorit remains concerned that his propensity to enjoy an alcoholic beverage could lead to further issues in the marriage. The insider, however, is not convinced the couple will call it quits for good. 

PK Kemsley’s heavy drinking has been mentioned on multiple occasions 

While the source didn’t go into detail about PK’s drinking, his alcohol use has been discussed in the past. Dorit has addressed his heavy drinking fairly recently. In 2023, Rachel Uchitel appeared on Behind the Velvet Rope, a podcast dedicated to all things pop culture. Uchitel, a former nightclub manager, revealed that she had a romance with PK Kemsley before he married Dorit. They got to know each other when PK was a patron at a club she managed. She went on to reveal PK had spent over $1 million on alcohol when she was around, including single evenings that cost six figures. 

Uchitel’s story isn’t the first time PK’s drinking has been mentioned. According to People, PK was arrested in November 2021 on suspicion of DUI. He was never charged. Most recently, Dorit addressed PK’s drinking just a month before announcing their split. She said his drinking caused strife in the marriage. Still, she said he had quit drinking at that point. It is unclear if he is currently sober.
